The Arts Council of Wales asks grant applicants what percentage of their audience "have undergone or are undergoing gender reassignment." This is not neutral data collection. It is an ideological framework artists must adopt to get funded.
The arm's-length principle was designed to keep politics out of the arts. That principle has been quietly dismantled, with profound consequences for artists and audiences alike ✍️Christopher Coppock wp.me/p8Mk4U-1mFP

The arm's-length principle — the constitutional safeguard keeping politics out of arts funding — has been systematically dismantled in Wales. Art is now valued not for what it is, but for what government priorities it serves.

Artists are supposed to tell the truth when institutions won't. When they depend on those same institutions — and must accept approved beliefs to survive — you lose more than art. You lose intellectual freedom. We know that artists in Wales are self-censoring.

A majority of people of all ages and political shades prefer single-sex toilets. So why do more than 100 MPs want to reject official guidance that will support single-sex spaces, services and sports? Write to your MP using our tool: sex-matters.org/take-action/…

Trans activist misrepresents the law 🥱 Same as it ever was.
Belcher gets the law wrong here right at the start @BylineTimes He says the characteristic of “gender reassignment” was created in the Equality Act 2010. That’s wrong. It was created in a 1999 amendment to the 1975 Sex Discrimination Act. He also misrepresents what the @EHRC chair said about recognising people’s sex when they speak or what you see “out of the corner of your eye”. She was explaining how a false first impression is easily corrected. She wasn’t talking about trans people at all. That’s just for starters.

An independent investigation into Wales's adult Gender Service was ordered in July 2024. It still hasn't started. England is reckoning with WellBN today. @MabonApGwynfor - when will Wales take action?
Whilst there is a focus on the activities of gender clinics, could I recommend taking an interest in the activities of the adult Welsh Gender Service? An independent investigation was ordered in July 2024. It hasn't started yet. genderblog.net/welsh-gender-…

Scotland should *definitely* be viewed as a cautionary tale, rather than a How To guide... I would never have believed I'd live through such a weird, stifling, oppressive cultural atmosphere, where challenging Sturgeon's pet policies basically made people outcasts.

Why are we giving girls testosterone to masculinise their appearance? It cannot change them into men, but it will destroy their health. Young people have been sold a lie.
Remember girls given testosterone during their youth in the 70s & 80s for illegal sporting advantage have all struggled with their health, several died very young, many had disabled children. We don’t need more experiments. Do NO harm.

He frames his dilemma as inclusivity and participation v women’s sport but women’s sport as a category IS about inclusivity and participation – of the very people he’s apparently not too bothered about alienating So his real dilemma has always been how to give men everything
‘The most obvious challenge is this whole gender, sex debate..We will get through that’ From @EDP24 - interview with Parkrun founder ‘My hope and wish is that as we navigate this, we don’t do ourselves any damage, that we protect what is really, really important to us, which is inclusivity, that we don’t alienate any part of the community’ ‘I think the people trying to protect women’s sport have a right to do that… but we have a right to protect participation and inclusivity’ @mara_yamauchi @sharrond62 Hard to see ’common ground’ - either men push women down the tables and hold their records, or they don’t Great story EDP ‘This whole debate’ - what a dismissive phrase edp24.co.uk/news/national/26…

When you lose in the Supreme Court, lose in Parliament and lose in the polls, apparently the next step is vandalising the EHRC's Cardiff office. Bash Back everyone. h/t @WRNWales x.com/xoxoBASHBACK/status/20…

🚨BREAKING🚨 Independent actionists representing BASH BACK have targeted the EHRC’s offices in Cardiff, Cymru. The EHRC cannot run away from the consequences of their bigoted “guidance”. The fight continues. xoxo BASH BACK

If Wales had originally had the same devolution settlement as Scotland, we would almost certainly be in the same position. The 'small nation syndrome' that demands we do things differently to England as a default, the breathless, credulous rush to adopt 'progressive' policies 1/

Scotland is *tiny*, with a population less than that of London, with a very incestuous political and cultural elite. That is precisely why it is a good study for how gender ideology manages to spread. And, possibly, why it was so very good at witch-hunts back in the day too.

If we could ask just one thing of the @Plaid_Cymru @WelshGovernment it's that they look very carefully at Sturgeon's chaotic legacy in Scotland and ask themselves if they really want to squander their momentous achievement in winning power on pushing divisive... 3/

Sturgeon demanded women's groups had an inclusive trans policy to qualify for govt funding. The women refused, and Sturgeon withdrew every penny. A massive transfer of essential government funding for rape crisis and breastfeeding centres went from women to men.
£3.9m to Scottish Trans to campaign against women's spaces. The SNP worked hand in glove with taxpayer-funded trans lobbyists to undermine women's rights. Could this be happening in Wales? (Yes.)

Neurodevelopmental issues. No specialist diagnosis. No face-to-face appointment. They were among the most vulnerable children in the system and they were prescribed hormones at 12. The unquestioning affirmation model harms children and must be rejected.
"Most of the children treated by the practice...also had possible neurodevelopmental issues." "None of them had a clear diagnosis of gender incongruence of gender dysphoria from a specialist." "Harm has been happening in plain sight." brightonandhovenews.org/2026…

"The tragedy isn’t that nobody knew. The warnings were known, the prescribing was celebrated, and institutional curiosity went missing precisely when it was needed most." A parent told the NHS and GMC, three years ago. Wales should be listening.
Concerns about Brighton's WellBN GP surgery were first raised with the NHS in 2020 and the GMC in 2021. Today, in 2026, an independent investigation delivered its highly critical verdict. Gender-distressed children have been failed by the NHS again 👇newstatesman.com/politics/he…

IRELAND: A trans-identified male was fired from a childcare center after offering a "kiss" to an 11-year-old child as a "prize." Aleena Starshine later filed a discrimination claim against the center, and suggested the mother of the child was transphobic. reduxx.info/ireland-transgen…
