TOPIC: DEALING WITH SYMPTOMS SCRIPTURALLY
2 Corinthians 5:7; Isaiah 53:5
There is a stage in the walk of faith that every believer must pass through, and it is the stage where symptoms and physical evidence begin to challenge your stand. After you have prayed, believed, and spoken the Word, you will still face contrary signs. This is where many people lose what they have already received. The Bible says we walk by faith and not by sight, but that does not mean sight disappears; it means sight must not dominate your response. You may still feel pain in your body, see lack in your finances, or notice no immediate change in your situation, but those symptoms are not final authority. They are part of the process. If you do not understand how to handle them, you will allow temporary evidence to cancel eternal truth.
Faith does not deny facts; it establishes a higher truth over them. If you are sick and you say, “I am not sick,” you are denying fact. But when you say, “By His stripes I am healed,” you are declaring truth over fact. The difference is crucial. God’s Word represents the ultimate reality, even when your senses are reporting something different. When Abraham refused to consider his body, he was not pretending, it was a conscious decision to give greater weight to what God had said. In the same way, you must learn to handle symptoms without surrendering your faith. The devil uses symptoms as a strategy to make you doubt, but you must interpret those symptoms correctly. They are not proof that God has not answered; they are simply the fading evidence of a problem that has already been addressed in the spirit.
When symptoms persist, stay with the Word. Keep declaring God’s promise. Keep your attention on what He has said, not on what you feel. If necessary, get support through prayer, through counsel, through medical help, but never shift your trust from God. Your confidence must remain in Him as your source. Think of a tree that has been cut from the root; the leaves may still appear alive for a while, but they are already dying. That is how symptoms behave when faith has been released. They may linger, but they have no future. If you refuse to give up your stand, they will eventually disappear. This is how you move from promise to manifestation; by handling symptoms scripturally and refusing to let them define your reality.
THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I allowing symptoms to weaken my faith, or am I standing on God’s Word despite what I feel? What truth must I declare over my situation today?
PRAYER: Father, help me to handle every symptom with faith and not fear. Strengthen me to stand on Your Word until every contrary evidence disappears, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
