While driving to @Foulshaw2 Ospreys today, I was interrupted by this Osprey flying low, down the River Kent at Sandside. Tide out, but rough water so Osp quite low trying to fish. Just managed a photo, wonderful sighting. @cumbriawildlife @Cumbria @CumbriaBirdClub @LDBWSnews

As you might be able to see the bird has a blue ring on its right leg. Someone at Foulshaw Moss asked me what the ring number was. I cannot type my reply. Thankfully, he was joking as I had a tripod in my hand. You know who you are!

All Saint's Church Brixworth, Northamptonshire is perhaps the most important survival of Anglo-Saxon architecture north of the Alps. Much of the C7th church remains from the reign of King Wulfhere in the form of a Roman Basilica. The stair turret is C10th. Spire is C14th.

This lovely limosa Black-tailed Godwit was at Titchwell RSPB reserve last week. I believe its one of the birds from the headstarter project? @GrahamFAppleton any information on this individual? I reported it through the website but not has a reply as of yet

Two massive low flying Ospreys just flew over my house, possibly 300 feet high.
Sadly they were cv-22s and not the real thing. Arnside viaduct may have been the object of their attention.
