STATE AFFILIATE DENOUNCES CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE The Libertarian Party of Mississippi denounces Mississippi District 3 congressional candidate Erik Kiehle and his incendiary statements on social media. Kiehle’s statements do not represent the Libertarian Party of Mississippi, its membership, or its values. Advocating government coercion against peaceful people or praising authoritarian ideologies isn’t libertarianism — it’s authoritarianism. Mississippi state law states that political parties do not determine who runs under their banner. According to Mississippi Code § 23-15-291, “All nominations ... shall be made by primary elections.” The state party did not choose this candidate to run for office. The Libertarian Party stands for the maximum liberty of every peaceful individual. Any candidate who advocates government coercion against peaceful people based on their identity or who praises authoritarian ideologies has no business running under the banner of liberty.

Libertarian National Committee Resolution in Support of Islam “Izzy” Aly WHEREAS, Islam "Izzy" Aly is a lawful and peaceful resident, an electrical engineer, UCF graduate, business owner, and an active supporter in the liberty movement; WHEREAS, Mr. Aly was detained by the Department of Homeland Security when returning to the United States on December 22, 2025 after traveling abroad due to his father’s passing. WHEREAS Izzy Aly holds valid immigration status and has maintained continuous lawful residence in the United States for approximately ten years, and has been charged with no crime; WHEREAS, Mr. Aly has been held for a quarter of a year, far from home, in a detention center alongside hundreds of other detainees; WHEREAS, Mr. Aly was diagnosed with Stage 3 chronic kidney disease in early January, yet was not informed of this diagnosis for approximately two months, causing a significant delay in treatment that could allow the condition to progress to Stage 4, requiring dialysis; WHEREAS Mr. Aly, like many other such captives, should not be unjustly held by the state, especially to the detriment of his health; WHEREAS, Mr. Aly has only seen a doctor once since his captivity, and only due to a medical emergency. Like other captives, he has not been taken to follow-up appointments despite medical recommendations to begin treatment; WHEREAS, Mr. Aly has been evicted from his residence, had personal possessions discarded, and lost custody of his pet - all through no fault of his own; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Libertarian National Committee calls for the immediate release of Izzy Aly and other political captives; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Libertarian National Committee condemns the inhumane, unjustifiable actions of I.C.E. and the D.H.S., and calls again for their abolition; BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Libertarian National Committee urges all members, affiliates, and allies to support captives such as Mr. Aly through public advocacy, community solidarity, attendance at organized protests, and through direct support to their legal defense.

There is no such thing as right and left Libertarians. There are only libertarians/Libertarians. And people who say there are, don’t understand Libertarianism and are usually social conservatives.

Northwest Ohio deserves more than politicians who go to Columbus to vote with their party. Our communities need representatives who fight for local priorities, not party leadership. Columbus should hear our voice, not just count another party-line vote.

Hello All, In case you didn't hear, on Monday, May 25th, the newly elected Libertarian National Committee voted 15-2-1 to disaffiliate New Hampshire. Back in May of last year, we called out NH for its reprehensible behavior, but despite their promise to improve they have only intensified their hateful, injurious and anti-Libertarian messaging. We are sure that the Committee did not take this decision lightly, and regardless of how you feel about NH we can all appreciate National's commitment to protecting the liberty movement. All we can do now is hope that actual Libertarians from the Granite State can rally together to reestablish a new PRINCIPLED affiliate. We look forward to the day that actual New Hampshire Libertarians can join the National Party. Until then, please be aware that any statements, rhetoric or actions taken by that organization and it figures are not affiliated, in any way with the actual Libertarian Party or its 49 State Affiliates.
