Actually Felix is taking off the earthly crown & laying it down for the true King, Jesus. Learn more at thekingsreturn.com
Felix Nmecha crowned himself 👑
Community note
The image is cropped to misleadingly suggest Nmecha crowned himself; the full celebration shows him laying down the crown to honor Jesus. x.com/BallersinGod/s… instagram.com/p/DZkw2r7qvYg/

Biblical Clarity Gospel Urgency = our cooperative mission on steroids. We need both. Let’s get both. Let’s protect both. Let’s champion both. Let’s reach the world from both. It’s a FALSE dilemma to pit them against one another, yet a real tragedy to hold only one. SDG

The number of clear Gospel sight lines from the story of Abraham and his call to sacrifice Isaac and the story of Jesus are significant. @the_gravey_stl preaches Genesis 22 in our series on Biblical theology this morning. We start in 2 hours, coffee will be ready. Come join us.

Isaac had no idea of the significance of this question. On that day God provided a ram, not a lamb. No way these two could have known the ultimate answer to this question was the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. @the_gravey_stl preaching Genesis 22 this Sunday.

He (Isaac) said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together. (Genesis 22:7-8, ESV)

OK, #SBC26 hot take. It’s really not OK for people promise their kids a trip to Disney, then bring them in the room as messengers. Watching a fam w/ boys who are like 6 &8 who hold up ballots on every vote. Happening all over the room. No way they understand what they are voting.

This. This. This.
What I’m about to say should be said by the governor, the state attorney general, and the mayor of St. Paul, but they’ve created a crisis and remain silent. Minnesotans: please respect people’s right to peaceful religious gatherings. This goes for mosques, cathedrals, temples, and churches — every kind of person. Do not invade their place of worship, and do not harass people on their way to worship. Leave them alone.

Just finished my annual candy run through the #SBC26 Exhibit Hall. Simple rules. Have candy and I swing by, small chocolates I take a look. Anything equivalent of fun sized candy bars and I stop to hear the pitch. Good year this year.

No matter what else frustrates me in the SBC, the @IMB_SBC Sending Celebration, happening now at #SBC26 is still the highlight of this event and the very reason we remain in this tribe of cooperating churches.

Over 60 people being commissioned to go to “panta ta ethne” all the nations. Just heard a man ask for prayer on how to be a good grandpa from a foreign land as he proclaims Christ overseas.

This really matters, and is extremely exciting for this faith tribe. Furthermore it gives us hope for a much better future in spite of our past failures.
Did you know that 55% of new churches are minority-ethnic or multiethnic congregations? These moments were captured at ethnic gatherings during this year's Southern Baptist Convention—a reminder of the many cultures, languages, and communities represented across our convention and our church planting family. We are a family of churches planting churches EVERYWHERE FOR EVERYONE. As God continues to bring the nations to our neighborhoods, we're grateful for the pastors, planters, and churches working to ensure every community has access to the hope of the gospel and a healthy local church. Join us in praying for more churches to be planted, more leaders to be raised up, and more people from every background to come to faith in Christ.
