So @AnnieAndrewsMD held an event in Greenville, and turn out was so high they moved the event out to the parking lot! In GREENVILLE!!! There’s a fired up pediatrician speaking to that sea of hopeful South Carolinians!

Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact. How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.

Remembering Jesse Jackson, a proud native of South Carolina, and his powerful visit to Sesame Street, where he spoke with children about kindness, justice, and believing in themselves. As a pediatrician and a mom, I’m reminded every day how much representation and hope matter. Rev. Jackson met kids where they were - at their level, in their world - and showed them that their voices count. May we honor his legacy by continuing to uplift, fight for, and empower the next generation.

If Lindsey Graham was still the man he used to be, I wouldn’t be in this race. But unfortunately for ALL of us, he isn’t. He is corrupted by power. So we need to fire him.

The story of how Trump sells access to the White House - to benefit himself and his family financially and to benefit his political operation - is shocking and sordid. No President has ever monetized access like Trump has. 1/ It's a story you need to know.

HR 1 means higher costs, fewer services, and real harm for those struggling. I became a physician to provide care, not to watch health care stripped away. Speak out for Medicaid and tell Congress to VOTE NO on HR 1: acog.quorum.us/campaign/1285… #HandsOffMedicaid #MedicaidMatters

But here's the rub. If the catastrophic Medicaid cuts in the "Big, Beautiful Bill" become reality, rural hospitals will close all over the country. So will Children's Hospitals. The ER cannot turn anyone away but that won't matter when the ER and the hospital are no longer there.
Replying to @AnnieAndrewsMD
Dr. Annie you of all people should know that there is virtually nobody in the United States who has to be denied healthcare. It is a federal law that an emergency room cannot turn anybody away when they don't have health insurance. There are so many safety nets and stopgaps in this country for healthcare that it's not even funny and politicians are constantly misrepresenting the situation because of political partisanship. When will it ever stop and we all talk sensibly about these things because we are one nation under God. And we all want the United States to be blessed.

Growing up, my dad lost his job after getting MS. Mom was raising 7 kids & needed skills training before she could find work—both unemployed for months. Food stamps kept us fed, but my family wouldn't even qualify today under the Big Ugly bill. It's wrong. Senators, vote NO.

BREAKING: Republicans just blocked my amendment to ensure Veterans, foster kids and the homeless aren’t denied SNAP benefits. There is no one Republicans won’t betray to ram through tax cuts for their billionaire buddies.

It shouldn't get lost that just today, Senate Republicans have voted to close nursing homes, close rural hospitals, and cut food stamp benefits for children and veterans.

Lindsey Graham just called Medicaid “a money-laundering scam.” 1 in 4 South Carolinians rely on it, but Graham only cares about pleasing Trump, not protecting us. Demand better. Click the link in bio and tell him to VOTE NO on Trump's bad budget bill. #SCpol #protectmedicaid

HPV Vaccine prevents cancer. Nothing that RFK Jr says or does will change that fact. If you have questions about vaccines, please ask your doctor, not a politician.

Cheering on war is easy when it’s other people’s sons and daughters. Isn’t that right, Lindsey?
Good. This was the right call. The regime deserves it. Well done, President @realDonaldTrump. To my fellow citizens: We have the best Air Force in the world. It makes me so proud. Fly, Fight, Win.

We are at a pivotal moment. We can choose the path of science, public health and safety. Or we can choose the path of disinformation, conspiracy theory and preventable disease outbreaks. We cannot choose both. apnews.com/article/cdc-vacci…

The very thin sliver of a silver lining today: So many parents asking to make sure that their children have received every vaccine they are eligible for because they are terrified that access may soon be limited. Trying to calm their fears, but staying realistic at the same time

We have seen the first 8 new members of ACIP, @SenBillCassidy. No qualifications to serve on this committee. The potential to cause immeasurable harm and to kill thousands of children. Will you still stand silent? Will you allow the harm you have caused to continue to multiply?

17 dedicated doctors, pediatricians, scientists, and parents who served on the Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices (ACIP) were just fired by Secretary Kennedy based on false claims of conflicts of interest – a dangerous and unprecedented action that makes our families less safe.
