Last night, 3 @PhillyPolice officers were shot while answering a call for service. By the grace of God, all 3 are expected to recover. This could have ended very differently. Please keep these officers, their families, and all affected in your prayers. 6abc.com/post/3-philadelphia…

Seemingly a more radical leadership now in place. Begs the question – the decapitation strikes were impressive tactically, but were they strategically wise? Our HVT targeting is so precise now, it’s not a question of can we kill, but rather should we? wsj.com/world/middle-east/th…

I'd forgotten this observation I made of Seb Gorka back in the day when I was writing about Trump's manliness issue:

Trump is going to sign a deal with Iran that won’t mention the missile threat or its support for terrorism, two issues that he said he will make sure to address. By those measures this deal is far from a good deal. And no, unfortunately the war did not remove these threats

We remain world class in man-hunting (think GWOT targeting of find/fix/finish ops).
The CIA provided the intelligence for the operation, per a senior administration official.

I hope the media will point out, as Ian is doing below, that the Iranian promise to not develop nukes is same old bullshit as last time…..so if Trump touts this, as some type of big deal, the immediate reaction from the press must be to point this out. It’s really a giant bunch of blah blah.
original iran nuclear deal: “under no circumstances will iran ever seek, develop or acquire any nuclear weapon.”

A virtual signing? Amazing if true. It actually avoids a brutal spectacle for the Trump admin. This is not a “win”for the US. And it’s certainly not a deal…it’s a reflection that it’s just a cease fire extension agreement, then start of real talks, which will be quite difficult at best and potentially very very lengthy …
Pakistani officials saying that the Iran-US agreement MOU will be signed electrically tomorrow. Araghchi implied this was the case in a lengthy interview for Iran state TV yesterday. This suggests that there will be no in-person component (though it's possible something comes after the signing). Technical discussions will commence shortly thereafter.

Hmmmmm
It’s really worth reflecting on the fact that for all the Washington claims to the contrary, the MoU as flagged by senior U.S. official does cover Lebanon — precisely as Iran claimed it had to. That probably tells you something about shape of rest of deal.

Oh good, Trump is now reposting the Iranian regime mouthpiece. I feel so much better about this agreement 🤦🏻

Replying to @Mpolymer
When a former CIA station chief and a National Review editor are both looking at the same video of a sitting congressman and arriving at the word “cult” — that’s not partisanship. That’s a diagnosis from opposite ends of the room.

You don't even have to go to a war college for this one
JD Vance went to Ohio State then Yale. But clearly not to study history. WW2 did not end ‘with some kind of negotiation’.

Trumpism absolutely is a cult. I said it.
A lot of people bristle when you say, or suggest, that Trumpism is a cult, and I can understand the bristling. But listen to the man below. He is a member of Congress. Is this not, at a minimum, "some weird sh**," to quote George W. Bush in a different (though related) context?

This stinks to high heaven.
The UAE is releasing billions of dollars to Iran as part of a deal to reduce bilateral tensions and assist with reopening the strait. It could be as much as $20 billion. $3 billion has already been delivered, confirming rumors from earlier this week. The move comes after the emirates emerged as the single largest target for Iranian missiles and drones during the war. From confrontation to accommodation. reuters.com/world/middle-eas…

Six strong for Sonny, a tank an RBI knock and an RBI double for WC40, RBI double and a 2-run tank for Ceddanne, RBI double and a tank for Wilyer, the Red Sox actually scored a bunch of runs and won comfortably at Fenway. #GoldBottles
