I love this story because it reminds me there are no "rules" for the "right" way to build. She was a single founder, female (in the 80s!), an engineer, in the midwest, in healthcare and she outlasted nearly everyone... incredible.
Exactly what we’re doing at @ProwessProject. Matching startups with untapped talent, many the women/moms who were pushed out of the workforce due to COVID.
Female founders, and especially moms, are a true undervalued asset class. When given capital we are shown to out-deliver on both operating our companies and returns to investors. Those investors wise enough to give us trust and time will be rewarded.
Female founders were raised women. All women I know are capable of reach the goals they plan. Either raise capital for a company or a family.
We are amazing. Each in our own way.
