A dad says Valve has “a customer for life” after the company sent him a free replacement Steam Deck case.
He reached out to Steam Support after his baby threw up on the original case and asked if he could buy a new one.
Instead, Valve told him they had already ordered a replacement and would send it free of charge.
“Valve has a customer for life. I reached out asking if I could buy a replacement case after my newborn got sick all over mine, and they just sent one for free.”
“I know it’s a small thing, but this kind of customer service means a lot.”

This is the problem with folks who know absolutely nothing about the technology (especially in positions of power) making claims on extreme performance etc. Parallax in the go fast for instance. I said that was the case not long after it came out. We see it all the time. People hated that explanation because it didn't fit the exciting narrative. Man, you don't think I would be all over it if it was truly unexplainable?

Something that happens to me literally every time I'm talking politics with a liberal:
I'll mention that the gun control is a total dealbreaker on voting blue for a lot of people.
They respond with "nobody wants to take your guns, that's just republican fearmongering."
I point out that no, literally every democrat candidate wants an assault weapons ban. That's not some republican lie, it's literally right there on their own issues pages.
Rather than acknowledging that they were incorrect and continuing the conversation from there, they just immediately pivot to "omg nobody needs an assault weapon!"
It's literally like a script, I've had the exact same conversation like 1000 times.
