The Rung samaj are ancient Tibetan origin traders given tribal status in 1960s. The race to homogenise everybody is against the very spirit of the diversity of thought, custom and belief that Hinduism stands for. For the tribal community it is cultural pollution.
The shivling was being installed by an organisation claiming to work towards spreading Sanatana Dharma.

True. With Indus Water Treaty India has found some leverage over Pakistan's rogue military's subconventional warfare using nurtured terror proxies.... Ps. Got to get this book. Hope it's available on Amazon in India?
#SWJBookReview: “The Weaponisation of Everything: A Field Guide to the New Way of War,” by Mark Galeotti. Yale University Press (@yalepress). ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ 👤Reviewed by: LCDR Ciprian C.- a Romanian Special Operations Forces officer (pursuing a Master of Science in Defense Analysis at the Naval Postgraduate School (@NPS_Monterey ). ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ “States are increasingly turning the instruments of civilian life into weapons: business and sanctions, criminal proxies, legal procedures, information ecosystems, and culture. While this shift is commonly treated as a revolutionary development driven by Russia’s hybrid adventurism, Galeotti’s central and most provocative claim is that it is nothing of the sort. The techniques may be more sophisticated and the environment more interconnected, but the underlying logic of subverting, demoralizing, and outmaneuvering an adversary without resorting to full-scale military force is as old as statecraft itself.” ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ #HybridWarfare #HybridThreats #Disinformation #CyberSecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #IrregularWarfare #UnrestrictedWarfare #GreyZoneWarfare #PoliticalWarfare ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ

Goes for India too,..

The SP model was fraught with high personal risks for all concerned in the acquisition chain in existing govt procurement ecosystem, since it is a Single Vendor model. Def Secys were clear on that. Decade later, none of Navy's Helicopter, Sub or fighter SPs have taken off.

Did several reviews of the #StrategicPartnership policy over the years! One of them in 2022👇🏼 Meanwhile, “Project-75 India” to construct 6 German submarines at MDL for almost Rs 1 lakh crore yet to be inked! And, #ScrewDriverGiri thrives in the private sector!

#WATCH | Washington DC, USA | On Pakistan's role as a mediator in the peace talks between the US and Iran, Director of Policy Analysis at the Middle East Forum (MEF), Dr Michael Rubin says, "...Pakistan may be a mediator, but it is likely to ensure behind the scenes that there is never a final agreement and that there is always enough chaos from which it can benefit" "...Pakistan stands to win billions of dollars, gain great diplomatic prestige, and position itself as a key diplomatic mediator for supposedly solving the problem that it helped create. Pakistan should have been called out rather than embraced. Someone will one day write a book about how Pakistan has been able to turn lead into gold. They promoted the Taliban and then benefited from that. Rather than being bombed into oblivion, as some argued they should have been, they sponsored terrorism against India and the United States, and yet they seem to have been rewarded for it by having Donald Trump place them in a prime diplomatic position, rewarding Asim Munir with White House visits and Mar-a-Lago lunches. The fact of the matter is that Pakistan hosted Osama bin Laden. There has seldom been a government with more blood on its hands than Pakistan, and yet the international community somehow rewards it... Pakistan wants to see instability in the region because it engages in security extortion. As long as it can light fires within its region, Pakistan believes it can continue collecting funds. They don't want that billion-dollar gravy train to disappear. Pakistan may be a mediator, but it is likely to ensure behind the scenes that there is never a final agreement and that there is always enough chaos from which it can benefit..."

So, this is the secret operation forcpassage of tankers that was referred to in DJT tweet ..... And Iranian claims of fees (extortion) were correct ....
"The US secretly approved a financial and maritime arrangement between #Qatar and #Iran, under which billions of dollars were paid to Tehran in exchange for free passage for Qatari tankers and ships through the Strait of Hormuz, three diplomatic officials now confirm." "The secret US approval, which the sources said was granted about a month ago, dovetailed with Doha's interest in opening a direct channel of communication with Tehran, which began to tighten after the ceasefire. Qatar, fearing a renewed Iranian attack on its facilities after one of its gas installations was attacked during the war, sought to buy security quiet." "Some of the payments were disguised as fees for tankers passing through Hormuz, and a broad credit line of up to $1 billion was also opened for the purchase of goods through Qatar." israelhayom.com/2026/06/15/t…

A few quick thoughts on today's news. --Bottom line up front: there is NO deal. This is merely an MOU to agree to negotiate further. --Iran hasn't agreed that it won't pursue a nuclear weapon. In fact, after Trump's reckless war, it's more likely to do so in the future. --Iran is still talking about tolling the Strait of Hormuz even though Trump says it's already partially opened and will be fully opened soon. --Even if that were the case, it'll take perhaps a month or longer to completely clear the Strait of sea mines to make it safe for commercial traffic. --Oh, and Israel is continuing to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon. Tehran has made clear there won't be a deal unless that stops. But nice try. nytimes.com/2026/06/14/us/po…

#WATCH | Bratislava | Delivering joint press statement with PM Modi, Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico says, "Slovak Republic and India are countries which are connected by a number of common topics. I would like to congratulate India for the fantastic results which you are achieving. It is a great honour for me to welcome the PM of the country with the largest population in the world, but at the same time a country which is the fifth biggest economy in the world, and it has the ambition to be the third biggest economy in the world. I congratulate for the results you have achieved in different areas. You domintate in the field of digitalisation and the use of AI. You have come so far that you are faster than many advanced countries in different parts of the world. We are struggling in the EU. What could the EU do if we could achieve 6-7% growth?..." Nobody is talking these days about "The Not so Young Pretender" the Shah .... US & western govts were out of their mind trying to foist a monarch on people who had already seen his father & SAVAK, kicked him out & been through much. Reverse has happened.
trump made three fundamental mistakes on Iran. One: The decision to unilaterally withdraw the US from the JCPOA in 2018, at a time when Iran was fully compliant with the terms of the agreement. If he wanted to tighten the agreement further, he could have built on it, using American leverage. Two: The decision to launch the Israeli war on Iran in June 2025. Israel thought an initial decapitation strike would cripple the Iranian state and military -- like crippled the Egyptian air force in June 1967. It didn't happen. trump thought American bunker buster bombs would destroy Iran's nuclear programme. They couldn't. Iran cut off IAEA's access to its nuclear programme after the war-- meaning, the Iranian nuclear programme went pitch dark. Three: The decision to launch an all-out war on Iran on February 28, 2025. trump and netanyahu wanted regime change. They couldn't get it. Iran regionalised the war and took control of Hormuz, enhancing the pain on the global economy. Having failed to achieve a quick solution, trump, in order to not to get stuck in another war in West Asia, shifted his focus from meeting his objectives through force to getting a face-saving exit through talks. That's what he achieved today. These three mistakes will have far-reaching implications for West Asia's regional order. Will write about it in detail soon.

Maybe powers of today need a reminder of this extreme act of courage and compassion ...
"THE LAWS OF HUMANITY" In 1940, in the midst of World War II, Italian submarine commander Salvatore Todaro made a decision that is still regarded as one of the most humane acts in the history of naval warfare. While on combat patrol in the Atlantic Ocean, his submarine, Comandante Cappellini, sank the Belgian merchant ship Kabalo. According to the laws of war, everything should have ended there. The submarine was expected to dive immediately and leave the area. Remaining on the surface meant risking the lives of the crew and jeopardizing the entire mission. But Todaro saw something else. Among the wreckage in the cold ocean were people fighting for their lives. Sailors. Shipwreck survivors. Men with little chance of being rescued in time. He did what no one expected. He ordered the submarine to surface and take as many survivors aboard as possible. There was not enough room for everyone, so some had to remain in a lifeboat. Then Todaro went even further: he ordered the lifeboat to be tied to the submarine and began towing it toward a safe shore. For several days, the submarine traveled almost defenseless — slowly, on the surface, constantly risking detection and attack. Crew members reminded their commander that he was endangering the entire operation for the sake of men who had been the enemy only hours earlier. Todaro's reply became legendary: "They are not enemies now. They are sailors." After delivering the survivors safely and handing them over to local authorities, the submarine resumed its military mission. More than 80 years have passed. Countries, borders, and wars have changed. Yet this story reminds us of something important: even in the darkest times, a person remains human. Sometimes a single act speaks of true greatness far more than any victory on the battlefield. For there are the laws of war. And then there are the laws of humanity. And it is those that are remembered the longest.

On Truth Social, US President Donald Trump posts, "The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Yes. Nuclear power is unavoidable, inspite of concerns of safety and disposal of spent fuel....
The Rolls Royce in this nuclear deal with Japan has never made a single car. BMW bought the naming rights in the late 1990s for about £66 million. The Rolls-Royce that kept the actual company name has been building nuclear reactors for British submarines since 1954 and in January 2025 signed a £9 billion contract with the UK Ministry of Defence to build more. That engineering firm launched a commercial arm called Rolls-Royce SMR, which stands for Small Modular Reactor. Its design is 90% assembled in a factory, then trucked to the site and connected. Each unit produces 470 megawatts of electricity, enough to power one million homes for 60 years with no carbon emissions. Three are already under contract in Wales, three more in the Czech Republic. Before March 2011, Japan had 54 nuclear reactors providing 30% of the country's electricity. Then a tsunami struck the Fukushima Daiichi plant, causing three separate reactor meltdowns, the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl. Within 14 months, every single reactor in the country was offline. Nuclear dropped from 30% of Japan's power grid to zero. To fill the gap, Japan began importing natural gas and coal on a massive scale. By 2013, roughly two thirds of the country's electricity came from fossil fuels, and Japan had become one of the world's largest buyers of liquefied natural gas, a fuel that has to be shipped in tankers from halfway around the world. Japan reversed course in 2022. A 2025 energy plan set a target of 20% nuclear by 2040. Nine days ago, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry published the country's first numerical nuclear replacement targets since Fukushima: replace up to 14 aging reactors by the 2050s, adding 16 gigawatts of capacity, roughly half Japan's current nuclear fleet. Right now, 15 reactors are back online, producing 8.5% of Japan's electricity. A Japanese automation company, Yokogawa, already signed in February 2026 to supply the control systems for Rolls-Royce SMR's global fleet. The country that suffered the worst nuclear accident in a generation is now one of the most aggressive buyers of next-generation reactor technology.

Great! Excitement in India is understandable after Op Sindoor & esp US Israel-- Iran war where ballistic missiles have been used extensively. But this is the 1st step. BMD needs a full chain of sensors earth & space based, C4ISR & layered defence. Miles to go before we sleep.

True sir. Navy SOP worldover is to warn on MMB radio, then fire warningshots with small calibre wpns across the Bows & then Board. Unarmed merchant ships always comply. MMB clips show shipscrew calling frantically. Firing missiles on merchant ships is a War Crime USN is guilty.
Replying to @arunp2810
Surely USN is aware that San Remo Manual forbids attacks on merchant ships flying flags of neutral states, unless “engaged in belligerent acts on behalf of enemy”. Ships believed to be breaching a blockade may be boarded & captured. Only “THOSE RESISTING CAPTURE MAY BE ATTACKED”
