A week ago, I hit publish.
Our mini-doc went live and I honestly didn't know what would happen. You pour months into something, refining every frame, debating every cut, and then you just have to let it go.
The response has been overwhelming. Messages from founders, calls from policymakers, and opportunities I hadn't imagined.
But more than anything, it's shown me something I've known in my gut for a while: we're at an inflection point.
Engaging policymakers isn't optional anymore.
Educating elected officials about AI, blockchain, crypto, and energy isn't lobbying. It's citizenship. It's stewardship.
I've learned that when you show up in person, genuinely and with patience, it matters more than perfect pitches. Sharing personal experiences and stories humanizes technology that most people either don't know about or fear. That's how buy-in happens.
When we treat these conversations as collaboration, the policy we shape expands opportunity for everyone. Not just for the companies we build, but for every American who wants to participate in the digital economy.
Three months ago, I sat across from a state legislator who asked me to explain blockchain like they were five years old. No lobbying, no agenda. Just curiosity. Two weeks later, I was in a congressional office having the same conversation about AI and energy infrastructure. The questions were genuine. Hungry, even.
There's a new generation of leadership taking office. From city councils to Capitol Hill. They understand the future isn't something to regulate out of fear but something to build with intention. They want to understand why this technology matters before they write the rules.
Every founder in this space has the same opportunity: to be a teacher, not just a builder.
This is the work I'm bullish on. Telling the story of our digital economy across government and tech. That's where I'll invest my time and energy.
The future we're building deserves leaders who understand it. The new class of leadership is listening.
North Carolina's digital future is brighter than ever. We have the talent, the infrastructure, and the leadership willing to lean in.

Silicon Valley built an empire on resources it doesn’t control.
The real digital revolution is happening where you least expect it.
This is the untold story of how one state is quietly leading the charge.
For six months, we were on the ground capturing the people, places, and policies driving this transformation.
The Tar Heel Chain brings it all together, on the record, for the very first time.
