I think I know how future generations will look on abortion as a whole, but I'm not certain. I'm 6-sigma certain that when they read about what we did in 2nd and 3rd trimester, to viable fetuses / babies, they will look on us as worse than slaveholders. And they're right.

Please take a few minutes and listen to this. It's the head of Arianne Space, a few years ago, publicly mocking SpaceX goals. Now compare what he's mocking to what they've done.
Here's some more of his banger takes from the same panel

The “regulatory superpower” nonsense was premised on Europe being such a large market that multinationals would consent to being regulated globally in order to gain access to it. The conceit I think was that everybody would be forced to go at Europes relaxed pace, and that Brussels could take a central role managing the End of History for the benefit of all. That’s in tatters now. History didn’t end, Europes importance as a market is diminishing, and decades of complacency have left us without the infrastructure to compete.

When politicians say they want to seize/tax "wealth" but actually mean "shares in your own company that you yourself founded", the real point is making it impossible for anyone to actually control their own company for more than a decade. They won't let you stay, either.

This is, apparently, the quality of a Harvard JD. Yikes.
I have not yet read the full trial transcript. But so far, I do know this. Karmelo Anthony was entitled to a jury of his peers. He did not get that. On that ground alone, he is entitled to a new trial. Minorities are not interchangeable. The prosecutor’s reported proffered reasons for striking all black jurors —that they were teachers—appears to be pretext. Anthony needs a new lawyer on appeal and in a new trial. His trial lawyer allowed in opinion evidence that should have been struck. He also seemed unable to appreciate and counter the impact of racial overtones in that case. Those overtones are clear even on Twitter commentary as folks seek to paint Metcalf as having no culpability in what happened and Karmelo as a complete monster. The facts on how the matter escalated are more complicated than that. He and they had no such authority. They are also apparent in the statements that seek to deputize Metcalf and other kids with authority to remove Anthony. They had none and initiated the conflict. That does not mean they should have been killed but it means they have explaining to do. The lawyer for Anthony apparently did not require that explaining. It is fair to ask how the Anthony’s ended up selecting that lawyer. The trial judge must be disqualified in any new trial if he actually gave an interview about the case before the appeal was considered. He has negatively affected the appeal rights of the defendant. He should know better. He should also be disqualified if he has any relationship with the Metcalf side. In a criminal trial, the prosecution has the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The defendant does not have to prove he is not guilty. Those rules apply to everyone. They apply to Anthony.
Community note
The Sixth Amendment guarantees criminal defendants the right to an impartial jury comprised of citizens from the state and district where the crime was committed. Nowhere does it mention race. constitution.congress.gov/constitution/a…

No, you don't get it. He does not have $1 trillion sitting in cash, it is 99% stock in his companies. To make that wealth liquid would mean selling all that stock which would swiftly destroy *both* the companies (Tesla, SpaceX, others) and the wealth. If he sold it all, he'd end up with maybe $100b max, several hundred thousand people would be out of work, the companies ruined and many of their suppliers also ruined. Okay, but now Elon has $100b in cash, and can "solve the world's problems". $100b divided by the world's 8 billion people is $12 If you were in charge, several of the most innovative industrial companies in the world would be destroyed, hundreds of thousands out of work, and space would again close to human civilization for another generation. But everyone on earth could have one nice meal and you could revel in your altruism.

People who hate the USA this intensely simply shouldn't live here.
From @TheAthletic: It wouldn’t be a World Cup without a problematic host. Russia in 2018. Qatar in 2022. "Now the U.S. is on a slide under humanity’s microscope," our columnist writes. "They’re making fun of us overseas." nyti.ms/3Qkqaki

Long post, but this one is important to me so I hope you stick it out! In January I reached out to Artemis II Commander @astro_reid with a simple ask- was he open to capturing the moon like I do for my colorful moon photos during the flyby? He humbly agreed, and we worked out a plan to incorporate into the photos captured as the crew approached the moon. The premise was simple- just capture enough photos in a burst to allow for image stacking to improve image fidelity, potentially to reveal color no human has ever captured. What he brought back was nothing short of magnificent. When I initially stacked the raw photos, it exceeded my expectations by far. The color came right out of the seemingly gray images, and showed details I've never seen before. It's possible nobody has. The lack of atmosphere meant a lot of color normally absorbed and scattered was present, so even the "near side" features looked exotic and unfamiliar. This view of the moon from an alien perspective made the usually-familiar lunar surface fresh and exciting, and the color we were able to resolve gave us valuable insight to the complex geological history of it's battered surface. Then, I faced a bit of a moral dilemma. I wanted people to be able to own these images in print- but I wouldn't feel right to profit off of them. As an active NASA astronaut, Reid certainly can't. He took these photos as part of a taxpayer-funded mission. If I couldn't split profits with him I didn't see a way to do this ethically, so I decided to release the images initially with no print offering, despite many requests!  Then, it clicked. After doing some research- I decided that I should do a print sale where the profits go 100% to charity. That way I can make prints available, do some good in the world, and it doesn't feel like an ethical conflict. I'm pleased to share my first EVER entirely-for-charity print release. At the end of this sale all proceeds with be donated to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. It feels fitting. I will follow up in a future post with a receipt from the donation, so you know how much we were able to donate. When I released this to my email subscribers only, we were already able to raise around $15k. Amazing! The limited edition fine art print is now publicly available, you can grab one of them at the link in my bio (also linked further in the thread) for a short time. Thank you for helping me do something good with my platform. Seriously... it feels amazing.

This is..... Not how you win an argument or convince an interlocutor.
to be clear: this is a sincere recommendation. you would score badly and in examining the answers you missed you would learn something about your intellectual limitations. You might even reflect on your limits and improve. I never lose hope for other ppl's improvement x.com/AliceFromQueens/status…

This is how you deal with Iran: you bomb the crap out of them every night, and make clear that it will stop if and only if they sign the deal.
Trump tells FOX he will bomb the shit out of Iran tomorrow night if they dont sign the deal

If we had taken a genetic test when my wife was pregnant with him, it would have shown he had an ultra rare chromosomal abnormality. One that could cause failure-to-thrive, growth problems. He might never talk, never walk, never leave home. It’s impossible to tell how it’ll affect him His first night alive his heart stopped and his oxygen levels dropped. They told us he essentially died. We bought an oxygen monitor to go home with. At the time we didn’t know he had any other issues. We wouldn’t know for nearly a year and a half. When we did it took a while for it to set in that all the dreams and hopes we had for him were dead. But he, he was alive. He was with us. He is still our wonderful boy, just now with extra struggles. His immune system struggles more than the rest. At 6yrs old he’s the size of a 3yr old. He didn’t walk until he was 3-4. He’s only semi-verbal and still not potty trained. We’ve had him in every form of therapy available. Even a routine dental procedure requires anesthesia which local dentists won’t do due to his condition. Those are his struggles. They’re real. They’re difficult. If we’d done the testing back then, the doctor would likely have offered killing him in utero as the solution to his and our “problems.” But his life doesn’t begin or end with his problems and struggles. It begins with his life. His incredible, God-given life. His beautiful smile, his bubbling laugh, the way his crimson curls bounce as he runs around the yard after his little sister or his brother. It’s in his love for his siblings, and their love for him. It’s in his kind heart and thoughtfulness and desire to help with anything he can, even if it means he puts dishes in the trash by accident. He’s my little buddy, follows me around like a shadow and his favorite thing is to snuggle up with me when I’m sitting on the couch playing a game. He isn’t a burden on our lives. He’s not an inconvenience. He’s a blessing who enriches every single part of all of our lives Every day I’m beyond grateful that God gave me my little boy.
I love this little man so much

My recollection (perhaps mistaken) is that the biggest problem with this abomination was the load and vibe. People forget how relatively rough solids are as compared to liquids.
So now I’m stuck here wondering if SLS continues as a LEO rocket if they could get away with just 2 RS-25’s and 4 segment boosters. That ESM has a lot of dV so the stack could shrink even more without the second stage. Or screw it, bring back the forbidden beast… 😂

This issue has almost *nothing* to do with the establishment clause. In order to provide religious support to soldiers, DoD has to have religious categories. Otherwise it cannot provide those services in anything but appearance.
The issue with the Pentagon list excluding the LDS church from Christianity has nothing to do with theology and everything to do with the Establishment Clause. I've spent my whole life around Christians who draw different lines around the faith. It's a 2,000 year-old argument that will continue for another 2,000 years or until Christ comes again. But that's a church argument, and it's none of the state's business.
