🔥 Reform’s plan to tax farms for hiring foreign workers is economic suicide for British agriculture.
Thanks to Brexit, farms are already paying thousands per worker in visa and sponsorship costs because British workers largely won’t do the back-breaking, seasonal labour.
This new tax would leave farms unable to staff up, drive up food prices, and risk crops rotting in the fields.
Another Brexit-era policy that sounds tough but delivers pain for farmers and higher costs for everyone.

The UK economy basically works like this:
Get paid £2,000.
Give £900 to a landlord. Give £200 to the council. Give £150 to energy companies. Give £300 to supermarkets. Give £300 to car insurance and fuel.
Spend the rest surviving until next payday.
Then get lectured by someone who bought their house for £37,000 in 1988 about how you need to stop buying coffees and cancel subscriptions.

There is still time for the government to act but there is no time to delay.
The US is slipping fast into dictatorship - and right now - in the UK - we face threats from the same forces that aided Trump. Hostile states like Russia which meddle in our politics, media and social media channels which platform far-right voices and personalities and normalise extremist positions, billionaire political donors and now, the US administration itself.
We must take immediate steps to preserve the integrity of our elections – tackle dark money, disinformation, direct interference and we must take steps to protect against bad actors in government should they gain power by making it harder to unwind our democracy and human rights.
On 29 June an event in Parliament sponsored by Clive Lewis MP, Richard Quigley MP and Roz Savage MP will highlight the importance of immediate action. It will focus on ‘Future Proofing Democracy - Stopping the Far Right through Constitutional Reform.’

He didn’t.
Now there’s a UFC event on the White House grounds, corporate sponsorships everywhere, and a cage fight being used as a presidential spectacle.
