What you need to know:

DC is under an Extreme Heat Alert until 8PM today, June 12. Temperatures will feel like 105°F or hotter.

DC Water has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for customers in Upper Northwest DC due to a loss of water pressure.

This week, Director McGaffin hosted the latest cohort of the @dcpolicedept CEA. Participants visited our simulation lab, where they received an overview of the life of a 911 call, visited THOR - the District’s mobile command center, and took a mock CritiCall pre-employment exam.
A Code Orange has been issued for today, June 5. This means the air quality in the District may be unhealthy for sensitive groups.
Sensitive groups include children, the elderly, and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung diseases.
