2026 SB1381 is almost identical to SB252. So many Republican Senators voted to pass SB1381. It hasn’t made it to the House. Is that b/c it’s an election year? Will it be back next year? I was shocked to see some who voted to pass SB1381 in March!!

Mazzei also voted for Laws 2005, c.374 creating the District Attorney Supervision Program (22 O.S. §991d), allowing defendants on deferred sentences to be supervised 😉instead of serving jail time.
Taken together, these policies expanded:
• deferred sentencing
• community supervision
• diversion programs
• reduced incarceration
