Tomorrow Jan 10 at 6:15pm is the next session for the @ISS_Mimic Community Build at @FreemanLib in Houston! Come help us build a 1/100th scale moving model of the International Space Station! New makers are welcome at any or all of the sessions!

@RachelRaygun - I'm also looking for LEDs with extensions like those in this video. Do you have some of these in the stash as well? I can't find them in mine.
@RachelRaygun - Do you have some of the beepers and push buttons in the JHLIL as shown in this photo? They're some more things I can't find in my stash for RPi classes.
Hey #space Twitter: I see numbers in the $2600/kg range to put a payload into #LEO. Does anyone know how much it costs (will cost) to get into lunar orbit? Maybe @SciGuySpace, @Erdayastronaut, or @jeff_foust has a reference?
Lovin' all the additions and upgrades to the #ISSMimic model. I know there's a lot of love on the Mimic team for the SASA antennas, but I gotta say that they're not as iconic as the Ku-band antennas.
It looks like some upgrades to JEM since I last saw it too!
I know we're all here for the #JWST images, but I have to pivot for a moment and say that this here is bullshit. Sorry to see this happening.

Sunday morning experiment trying to cool air with a Peltier. I could improve the design, but the low thermal mass of air is a real killer. I knew that going in, so this was more of a 'for grins and giggles' project.
Check out our forum for insight into our development of a high-temperature version of Gigabot X that will be able to print with ULTEM and other high temperature polymers.

Unfortunately, I don't know to whom I should attribute this, but I found it in a 2012 #NASA Thermal and Fluids Analysis Workshop (#TFAWS) presentation, and it rings so true to me:
My phone wanted to automatically tag this as #food instead of #supercoolNASAstuff that might one day be applied to heatshields using specialized #3dprinters for protecting spacecraft during EDL. @re3Dprinting
You know I'm getting serious about debugging at @re3Dprinting when I haul out the 'scope. Don't mind the spaghetti wires - they got cleaned up once the problem was solved.
It's just a start and needs tweaking, but here's some non-planar, conformal #3dprinting of thermal protection system materials for a #NASA project at re:3D using @FullControlGCD.
