Drax is the UK's largest recipient of green subsidies for biomass. They've been under particular focus as this year the BBC reported it had burned wood from rare forests in Canada. Now, #Newsnight's @katelamble has seen evidence of almost 200 environmental breaches at the mills which turn wood, headed to Drax, into pellets.

On St George's Day, we also celebrate Shakespeare's birthday. Icons like Shakespeare show the strength of English culture and language on the international stage. In Summer, we will celebrate English teams at the Euros whilst at the same time cheering on Team GB at the Olympics.

In going public with his diagnosis, he has brought to the forefront the importance of regular testing and early diagnosis of such terrible diseases as cancer. 1000 people a day are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Millions are living with a diagnosis and undergoing treatment.
