Bollin Valley Ranger Umar & Ranger Ed were recently coppicing on the Lymm Railway Line. Hazel coppicing is used to manage woodlands sustainably, allowing hazel trees to regenerate & produce multiple stems from a single stump. This management also promotes biodiversity.

As well as writing words, I've been producing a whole bunch of brand new diagrams for my latest book, Teacher Hacks Geography. Here's a sneak peek at one of them. I'd love to to see if we can make blank versions available for download. Is that something worth exploring?

A brilliant day spent with our HoDs and LPs of geography—reviewing and evolving our new Year 7 curriculum, and getting stuck into planning for the new Year 8 curriculum launching this September. Days like this remind me just how powerful subject communities are in driving meaningful curriculum development. #CurriculumLeadership #SubjectCommunity @astreaacademies #CPD #geography #geographyteacher

Due to increased levels of black ice on site school will be closed today. The site staff worked tirelessly yesterday to aim to open but unfortunately the conditions are not safe enough to have all students and staff in. An email will follow.
