🧵 As a progressive and leftist organizer in GA who also lives in reality, a few points. 1. It would be ahistorical to not recognize Kamala’s contributions to the LGBTQ community. She began conducting same-sex marriages in 2003 as San Francisco DA. She created a program to give first time drug offenders education and vocational opportunities. In her CA AG role, she was critical to restoring marriage equality to CA. She also abolished gay trans panic defenses.
