Reproductive justice is rooted in dignity, autonomy, and well-being. These principles are nonnegotiable. I am thankful for @RepFletcher’s leadership on the Right to Contraception Act discharge petition #RtCA. @ReproCaucus and @HouseDemocrats stand united in supporting reproductive justice for all.
Six decades of progress for birth control rights and access, yet the right to contraception is still not signed into law.
The House passed this critical bill in 2022, and House Democrats are demanding we pass it again.

The eyes of the world are on the U.S. as the World Cup edges closer to kickoff. Instead of using the world’s greatest sporting event to increase diplomacy and bridge divides, the USA is arbitrarily denying visas. One of FIFA’s 52 chosen officials for the 2026 tournament, Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan, earned the opportunity to officiate a World Cup game, but was denied entry to the U.S. The U.S. must honor the spirit of the game and celebrate football’s unifying power.

Today I voted NO on yet another budget rammed through Congress that does nothing to support working families. My constituents are struggling with rising gas prices, unaffordable groceries, and losing healthcare coverage. Instead of focusing on the affordability crisis, Republicans are focused on handing over $70 Billion MORE for the manufactured crisis of ICE and CBP terrorizing our communities.
The cycle of state-sanctioned violence and mass incarceration has been weaponized under this administration. Transparency, accountability, due process, and respect for human dignity is the bare minimum our communities deserve- I won’t accept anything less.

For decades, U.S. humanitarian aid programs not only saved millions of lives but also protected America and the world from epidemics. As the DRC and Uganda are grappling with one of the worst Ebola outbreaks in history, @RepGabeAmo, @RepRobinKelly, and I were joined by 74 of our colleagues to hold @SecRubio and @NIHDirector_Jay to account over their illegal, unnecessary, and cruel cuts to global health and disease prevention programs.

Q: The USDA has seen a large reduction in force during the Trump administration. Has that impacted the work you're doing on screwworm?
BROOKE ROLLINS: There has been zero impact to this mission area based on that reduction in force. In fact, I think the work accelerated significantly when we came on board.

Today marks a grim milestone: 100 days since this administration launched an illegal war of choice in Iran, and the cost is devastating. 13 U.S. servicemembers have paid the ultimate sacrifice and thousands of civilians across the region have been killed as the conflict spirals.
At home, this reckless war has deepened an affordability crisis which was already disproportionality impacting African Americans. The Senate must pass the War Powers Resolution immediately and Congress must act to support working families struggling in this economy.

D-Day, a sacred day in our history, is to honor the heroes who 82 years ago, stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from Nazi tyranny. May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, and service so many gave to defend democracy.
82 years have passed since D-Day. Allied forces successfully invaded Normandy, paved the way for liberation, & changed the course of history. The service & sacrifice of these brave servicemembers will always be remembered. Their actions inspired our nation & generations of Americans to come.
