Honoured to contribute to the Working Group on 'Narratives for Peace, Democracy and Reform' at the Paris Call for the Two-State Solution at @imarabe. Peace requires more than political agreements: it requires narratives that make agreement possible and institutions that make it legitimate.
My thanks to @jnbarrot for convening today's event on behalf of France, and to @ALLMEP, @PrinciplesPeace, @lesguerrieres and all civil society organisations present for your vital work 🇪🇺🇫🇷

In the face of the violence in Gaza, a lasting political solution must be found to the conflict. France is continuing to work actively with its partners for a horizon of peace based on the two-state solution.
Today, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Paris Call of 13 June 2025, @jnbarrot is bringing together Israeli and Palestinian civil society and several of his counterparts.
In 2025, @PrinciplesPeace contributed to the Paris Call for a Two-State Solution: this year again, hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian leaders from politics, security, business and civil society are meeting at the @imarabe under the patronage of French Foreign Minister @jnbarrot.
Our policy outputs from our recent Uniting for a Shared Future convening and GAPS MENA high-level dialogue will directly feed into this Call, as well as the working groups at the event, including the security group co-chaired by our Founding Executive Director @HibaQasas.
As the “Paris Call for the Two-State Solution” conference begins at @imarabe, @HibaQasas met with French Foreign Minister @jnbarrot, the UK’s @YvetteCooperMP and Canada’s @AnitaAnandMP to share policy insights from our GAPS MENA dialogue and Uniting for a Shared Future coalition.
Thank you, @YvetteCooperMP: we welcome the launch of the International Peace Fund by 🇬🇧, 🇦🇺 and 🇨🇦. A £3mln initiative to support peacebuilding between Israelis and Palestinians. @HibaQasas welcomed its creation at the UN Security Council in February: we are grateful it is now operational.
Today, the UK launched the International Peace Fund with Australia and Canada.
For a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, we must support dialogue and build trust on both sides.
@YvetteCooperMP spoke to peace-builders @hibaqasas and @rntamir about what it means to them ⬇️
"We need to pivot to a language of belonging rather than ownership."
For Israeli peace activist @eran_nissan, the Two-State solution can be a first step. But for him, the real question is not how to divide the land. It is how to share it.

How 550 Israeli & Palestinian leaders are keeping a political horizon alive.
Built during war, trauma, and the collapse of trust, Uniting for a Share Future (USF) is the broadest high-level Israeli-Palestinian leadership coalition of its kind.

Honoured to have welcomed @jnbarrot, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, to Geneva for @PrinciplesPeace’s latest GAPS MENA Political Dialogue, bringing together nearly 300 senior leaders from MENA, Europe and beyond at a moment of exceptional regional complexity.
Why religious leaders must speak up for peace in Israel and Palestine.
In a region where more than 80% of people are either traditional or religious, faith is not a peripheral issue. That's the view of @avidabush, Rabbi and CEO of @rabbis4HR.
