Why did the Bank of England think it could create £450 billion of money since 2020 and buy very expensive bonds without triggering rapid inflation? Why did it not think about the big losses it would incur when getting rid of the bonds later?
@geofftech forgive the hideously drawn map but I think I've got a journey for you that would quite an exciting round trip. With the addition of the Elizabeth line it's now possible to do a loop in London where you use every line for just one stop. Most lines in fewest stops!

All the PM needs to say is – we spent £500 billion of real money trying to stop an unstoppable virus. That’s why the country is at the edge of bankruptcy. Anyone who was in favour of the lockdowns and other restrictions can’t much complain now about the current situation.
