A huge thank you to Congressman Jim Himes @jahimes for stopping by our #Americares Emergency Medical Team training in Stamford yesterday! Our staff and volunteers were hard at work learning about critical components of our mobile medical tents, pharmacy, exam rooms and WASH capabilities so they can be ready whenever an emergency arises. Learn more about our Emergency Programs and what our response process looks like here, americares.org/what-we-do/em…

A staggering 40% of #Ukraine's population—more than 14 million people—are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. As the war enters its third year, Americares continues to support the physical and mental health needs in Ukraine. We have provided more than 500 tons of medicines and medical supplies and $5.3 million in emergency funding to protect the health of the most vulnerable survivors since hostilities escalated two years ago. #Americares americares.org/news/2024-022…

20,000 fatalities. 55,000 injuries. 1.9 million displaced. 25 hospitals out of service. 102 ambulances damaged. 300 health workers killed. Today, we continue our call for a #CeasefireNOW in #Israel & #Gaza. Join us in demanding the protection of civilians by signing the petition. The humanitarian situation is dire. Aid must be allowed to be delivered to those most in need without workers fearing for their lives in the process. #Americares chng.it/SxNdmDBwCG
