The Dutch aren't insane enough to say "Actually you Americans don't even have sprinkles" when we comment on it though
I'm impressed the UK gets abuse about food when the Netherlands are right there openly eating sprinkles on bread.

Underrated thing we’re bringing back in 2026: being polite and having manners
a lot of socializing involves performative interest and i simply do not give a shit

The Knicks winning every game except the one Trump was at is better lore than if they actually won every game

one of the bleakest facts of reality is that if you are gen z but grew up in fandom (particularly on ao3/tumblr) you will forever have some amount of Millennial Particles and theres genuinely nothing you can do about it

i appreciate some americans growing desire for building code changes that could lead to more pleasant apartment buildings but we should keep in mind when looking at European buildings and going “oh how lovely” — the ADA is one of like three uniquely decent things America ever did

Also, please bring back calling people, self-centered, conceited, selfish, rude, egocentric, self-absorbed, uncaring, etc. Everyone isn’t narcissistic.
It is not enough to simply be “anxious” or “uncomfortable” anymore. Every form of discomfort must be pathologized as a greater social evil.

We’re all appropriately charmed by the German tourist exploring Georgia, but I met 4 separate guys in Spain who were going to be road tripping through not-super-cool America this summer between matches, and they were ALL excited One asked me if I knew of anything fun to do in Biloxi So I think we might have thousands of these folks around this year and it’s our patriotic duty to show them the coolest, weirdest corners of the US

America is an objectively awful evil country in so many ways which only makes it more hilarious that whenever. Europeans try and come for us, their attacks are the food (?), the natural geography (??), and pop culture and sports (???). That’s like literally all we do well!

Why is it always “idc if the woman is bisexual” what if the man is bisexual? What if they’re both bi? What if one or both of them are trans? How can you tell either of them are straight? Huh? HUHHHH??? You can’t. People’s hatred of bisexual WOMEN specifically needs to be studied
I don't want to see straight couples at pride. I don't care that the woman is or claims to be bisexual, that's not a gay couple. You are a straight couple.

My friends straight friend joined for pride yesterday and he said “I never felt such an accepting place before, everyone is SO happy, the drag queens looks awesome. Pride is amazing” and thats exactly WHY this shouldn’t even be a discussion in the first place
"straight boyfriends" at pride can't possibly be this much of a pressing issue for us to make the whole month centered around patronizing bisexual women I'm sorry. actually no I'm not it has to be said
