Pregnancy should not mark the end of a girl’s education.
Through the SHE SOARS project, we are working with partners to advance the rights of pregnant and parenting learners and support pathways back to education. The Ministry of Education’s School Re-entry Circular provides an important framework for ensuring that girls who become pregnant can return to school, stay in school, and complete their education.
Now, the priority is accelerating implementation of the Circular at all levels of the education system, while addressing the stigma and barriers that continue to push girls out of school.

Sustainable movements are built through clear framing that defines the problem, presents practical solutions, and inspires collective action. In this way, narratives do not just reflect public opinion, they actively shape it.
Youth-led digital engagement continues to demonstrate the growing influence of young voices in national conversations, showing how organised, issue-driven narratives can strengthen civic participation and promote responsible engagement as elections approach.

Today, Maskani ya Taifa is kicking off a 3-day training with #MaskaniBungoma HUB members, beginning with a deep dive session on Social Media for Advocacy.
As civic engagement increasingly shifts to digital platforms, this session equips young advocates with practical skills to amplify governance conversations, design impactful campaigns, and use social media strategically to drive accountability and public participation.
Advocacy is no longer confined to physical spaces, it is digital, dynamic, and deeply connected to everyday life. When used responsibly, social media becomes a powerful tool for shaping narratives and advancing change.

Manyatta Homeschooling is one of the ways Akili Dada is reimagining what education can look like for girls who have been pushed furthest from formal learning systems.
In arid and semi-arid regions like Samburu, many girls and young women face barriers that make school difficult to access or sustain. Through this programme, they are supported with foundational literacy, numeracy, life skills, and leadership learning in ways that respond to their realities.
This work matters because education is not only about classrooms. It is about whether a girl can read information that affects her life, write her own ideas, speak with confidence, make informed decisions, and participate more fully in her community.
Manyatta Homeschooling is not just helping girls learn. It is helping ensure they are not left out of the futures they deserve to shape.
