Thatβs one way of looking at it. Another way is to approach it from a sociological, legal, militaristic and diplomatic perspective. Whither national pride? How can any self-respecting people or nation accept what just happened?
I can see that the 'do something' lobby is in full force, among the politicians. What EXACTLY do you want India to do, pray tell. Bomb an American ship? throw out a few Americans? The harsh facts are these. That ship was not legally your property; it had no business being there. you lost lives, and the govt has acted exactly as it should and to the extent that it can. Beyond that, for gods sake, help the families with information, and all assistance locally. HAs a single opposition leader taken the trouble to find out how the wife of that sailor is doing? a little practical help and a little less posturing please.
