Today, we announce the Flock Alpha, the most powerful and fully American-made public safety drone response system ever built. Five years ago, I stood on the rooftop of my police station and imagined this moment. There is no better feeling than seeing a vision come to life (I do not have kids yet).

I was just sent this article by Robert Curley. Tragically, his son Jeffrey was abducted and murdered. I considered not posting it because it feels personal, but he wrote the story to share it. This is our “why” I’m sorry, Robert. I wish we could have saved Jeffrey.
Opinion | When a child disappears, every second matters. Parents do not think about politics or technology in those moments. They think about getting their child home alive. bostonherald.com/2026/06/14/…

This guy got caught damaging Flock cameras (a felony). The cops chased him and caught him. Now he faces years in prison. People are being manipulated into throwing away their lives to destroy police equipment because of targeted misinformation campaigns.
A wanted driver thought he could get away from police on a busy Georgia roadway. But officers deployed one of the most effective tools being put in the hands of police: the Grappler. Dashcam video shows Atlanta police firing a Grappler from the front of a patrol vehicle, wrapping the truck's rear tire in a heavy-duty tether and bringing it to a controlled stop before a chase could even begin. Police say the driver was wanted for allegedly destroying multiple Flock cameras used by law enforcement to help solve local crimes and now faces property damage, interference with government property, and drug charges.

San Diego Police Chief on Flock: “We used it for a third of our homicides last year” “We’re catching someone after the first crime, not after they’ve committed dozens of crimes” “We have auditing that goes above and beyond what the requirements are”

A 911 response drone is only useful if it gets on scene fast enough. We made sure our Alpha drones are the fastest DFR quads out there. Sometimes, we test it the old-fashioned way 😎

Shoutout to this cop who’s out there catching murderers with Flock!
100%. Instead of slavery, I think he meant to say flock is a savior. Flock is the only reason I was able to catch this dude here in LA after killing (x2) in SD.

Awesome takedown video. Suspects assault and rob the victims, and then @SFPD uses @Flock_Safety ALPR drones to locate and arrest them. This tech is helping thousands of agencies, every day, keep Americans safe.

Shoutout to Officer Brannon @GwinnettPd who used Flock to locate and arrest a suspect wanted for multiple murders. Incredible work!
On April 19, Officer R. Brannon #2686 received a Flock camera alert that a vehicle associated with a homicide suspect from another agency was nearby in the area he was patrolling. Officer Brannon located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop. A pursuit followed, and once it was safe to do so, Officer Brannon performed a successful PIT maneuver to bring the chase to an end. Officers then made contact with the driver, Charles Nichols, who was found to have active homicide warrants out of another jurisdiction. A Flock alert helped ensure a quick response, which led to the arrest of a homicide suspect.

Some of the hardest cases we support are cases like this. They involve no actual crime. Police have no witnesses. No suspect. No motive. The person they're looking for can't help them. So what do you do? That’s what first responders face with most Silver Alerts. These cases are common because dementia is so common. Recently, an elderly man in Aurora, with multiple medical conditions, was reported missing. Officers and @Flock_Safety helped quickly locate him and get him home safely to his family. If you don’t have a camera that can find a license plate in these cases, what do you have when a family calls for help?

sf rapper complaining he can't even do drive-bys anymore because of @Flock_Safety. naturally, anti-flock vandalism is picking up across the country. and there's this site deflock that is mapping cameras and supplying pro-crime city council talking points to activists.
One of the most prolific criminals in all of San Francisco tells @adam22 that “crime in San Francisco is over with” because of Flock cameras drones. He complains that he can’t even do drivebys anymore. It’s simple: when the risk of getting caught is too high, crime plummets.

Flock helps communities get rid of criminals. They work. Nothing else does. Just ask the communities that have removed them. Crime rates go up.

Replying to @rahul @adam22
the arguments against flock cams are the .0000 percent domestic issues such as officials looking up their spouses etc but i counter that police oversight resources can look this up easily because every time a person uses the system they are documented and held responsible
