“God willing, my kids will be by my side as I lay on my deathbed & take my last breaths on this Earth. NONE of you will be! YOU don’t care more about my kids than ME.” We fought HB25-1312, Colorado. Silenced every step of the way. It’s in @GovofCO hands now. #copolitics #coleg

Today we announced the filing of a federal lawsuit against House Bill 26-1126. This bill allows government agents to walk into gun stores and obtain the records of law-abiding citizens without a warrant, probable cause, or even a stated reason. CSSA warned @GovofCO that signing this bill would trigger immediate legal action. He chose to sign it anyway, and today we've delivered swiftly on our promise. Thank you to every CSSA member for making this work possible. God bless Colorado, and God bless America! #guns #2A #copolitics #CSSA #coleg #SecondAmendment #Colorado

“Because it’ll show I never pointed in someone’s face.”
This is what the minority leader of the Republican Party has to say about me. He made me jump through hoops to take a sexual harasser, a man who stole a master key to unlock every single representative’s office door, a man who used campaign finance funds illegally through an ethics committee when he could’ve just written him a letter of reprimand? Where was Ron Weinberg‘s letter of reprimand by you, Jarvis? He is a liar and the worst kind of liar. Why hasn’t he released the video in question? Because he knows it will show that I never pointed in someone’s face. Did I cuss absolutely. I told the Chief Clerk it was BS that she allowed Jarvis to fire my aide unilaterally, going against every rule that has been put in place to protect aides hired by their OWN representative. Other representatives aren’t allowed to hire and fire someone else’s staff. Jarvis had his panties in a wad because she was exposing the truth and he fired her. His actions are vile and reprehensible, and no matter how many social media post he puts out there, the people of Colorado know the truth. And just so you know the 13 second video in question has absolutely zero sound to it, and Jarvis never even spoke to me and asked my side of the story. He made his decision talking to one person involved without even talking to a member of his caucus. That’s what leadership looks like to Jarvis.

An incredible day that’s been years in the making. Colorado Senate Bill 26-015 is now law and strengthens protections for kids against sexual exploitation. It updates old-fashioned language by replacing “child prostitution” with “commercial sexual activity with a child,” because kids are victims, not criminals. The bill increases internet luring of a child to a Class 3 felony when it’s done to meet for sex acts. It also requires courts to impose mandatory minimum sentences—at least 4 years in prison for many of these serious offenses. And if someone is convicted of soliciting a child and gets probation, they must still serve 364 days in jail. A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially From Silenced To Saved. Tougher penalties and clearer laws to better protect Colorado children. Great step forward! #copolitics

We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Representative Lois Landgraf, who faithfully served House District 21 and the people of Colorado for eight years.  Lois was a staple of the Republican Party and a steady, trusted presence in El Paso County, always fighting for commonsense conservative solutions that made our communities safer and stronger. During her time in the House, Lois championed legislation that made our communities safer and stronger. From creating the Training Veterans to Train Their Own Service Dogs pilot program to support veterans living with PTSD, to making sure assault by strangulation is clearly defined in statute and prosecuted as a serious felony, and leading one of the toughest synthetic‑marijuana crackdowns in the country. Her legacy is written into Colorado law and carried forward in the veterans, families, and communities who are safer and more secure because of her work. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and all who loved her.

House and Senate Republicans Release Statement Regarding Arrest of Hunter Rivera (Denver, CO – May 15, 2026) – Today, the House and Senate Republicans released the following statement regarding the arrest of Hunter Rivera: These charges are sickening, horrifying, and beyond reprehensible. There is no defense for anyone who preys on children, no excuses, and no place for that anywhere near public life or our party. We are calling on him as the Weld County Chair to resign immediately. There is no room in our party for these types of charges. We stand unequivocally with victims, with families, and with every law enforcement officer working to protect children from predators like this. These are the people we fight for every single day, and crimes against children deserve the strongest possible condemnation and accountability. We are grateful to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and investigators for their work to protect children and bring predators to justice.

Huge win for Colorado today with the signing of Senate Bill 137. This is a much needed, long overdue improvement to our regulatory review process. We’re the 6th most regulated state, with many of those regulations being duplicative or excessive. Honored to be a part of this priority legislation. #copolitics
Big news for Colorado businesses! 🎉 @GovofCO signed SB 137, the Colorado Chamber’s priority bill to improve the state’s regulatory review process. He also signed SB 189, a Chamber-backed update to Colorado’s AI law. #ColoradoPolitics #ColoradoBusiness

A gigantic win for Coloradans yesterday and energy freedom. #copolitics
House Republicans stopped an eleventh-hour attempt to undermine the proposed “right to natural gas” ballot measure and bypass the proper committee process. Major energy policy deserves transparency and public input, not last-minute political maneuvering. Read More: coloradohouserepublicans.com…

My constituents constantly tell me they are getting crushed by rising utility costs. Yesterday, we passed SB26-182 in the House to help keep the lights on and prevent unrealistic energy timelines from driving bills even higher. This bill allows utilities to refile their clean energy plans on a delayed schedule, which will help keep the Ray Nixon coal plant open longer and protect reliability for Colorado Springs families. This is a HUGE win for Colorado Springs residents, businesses, & our military installations. #copolitics

On the 3rd Reading passage of the Competency Bill, SB149, yesterday: I have always fought to ensure violent offenders are not released back onto our streets to cause more harm. This bill closes dangerous gaps in Colorado’s competency & criminal justice systems after too many violent offenders found incompetent & unrestorable were released back into our communities with zero accountability & zero treatment. I am incredibly grateful to all victims and their families who courageously spoke up, the massive stakeholdering partners, & to the lawmakers on both sides who made public safety a priority. #copolitics
Today, @RepCaldwell passed SB26-149 on Second Reading in the House. “We have a responsibility to victims to ensure their safety… and to communities across the state who are living with the tragic consequences of a broken system.” - Minority Leader Caldwell

Thankful to get our bill passed through committee last night unanimously. This legislation is incredibly important to El Paso County residents in order to maintain reliable energy & keeping affordability in check while trying to meet state-mandated clean energy standards. This bill is a result of many months of negotiations from both sides of the issue. #copolitics

🚨🚨🚨HB26-1289 includes 25 separate changes to the tax code, resulting in a $42.36 million revenue increase that will largely be borne by businesses and investors. This comes on top of the roughly $589 million in new revenue from HB26-1221 through HB26-1223, which also places additional burdens on the business community. At the same time, the bill creates new tax benefits for select ‘green’ industries, continuing a pattern of prioritizing special interests over Colorado’s business community.

SB26-015 just passed UNANIMOUSLY in House Judiciary. A HUGE WIN for victims of child sex exploitation. This bill makes it clear that sexually exploited children are victims, strengthens sentencing so buyers face real consequences, & creates tougher penalties for online luring tied to commercial sexual exploitation of kids. This is about protecting kids & holding offenders fully accountable. Thanks to the Committee & my co-prime Majority Leader Monica Duran. #copolitics

A huge WIN for Colorado's kids! @RepCaldwell's SB26-015 just UNANIMOUSLY passed committee! This bill will change Colorado law by replacing outdated “child prostitution” terminology with “commercial sexual activity with a child” across numerous statutes, strengthening the related sentencing, and increasing internet luring of a child to a class 3 felony.

Honored to be a part of one of the most impactful pro-business bills that has went through the General Assembly in a long time. CO is the 6th most regulated state w/ an estimated 45% of our 200K regs being duplicative/excessive. Movement in the right direction. #copolitics
.@RepCaldwell passed SB26-137 in Committee! This bill seeks to rein in Colorado’s over-burdensome regulations by specifying that every state department must review its rules at least once every five years, expanding the list of questions departments must answer during their rule reviews, and expanding SMART Act committees’ ability to hold departments accountable.

I was a No today. All 23 District Attorneys, Town of Monument, Chiefs of Police, Fraternal Order of Police, County Sheriffs of CO, CO State Fire Chiefs, Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, Colorado Springs, Weld County, Douglas County, Mesa County, Castle Rock, Parker, and many, many more all OPPOSED this bill for how it would negatively impact their basic abilities to obtain publicly available info to solve crimes. Be wary of false narratives mistreating what this bill does/doesn’t do. #copolitics
We are urging lawmakers to vote no today on HB26-1037. The bill would prevent police from accessing the most basic publicly available information, upending everything from car thefts to internet crimes against children investigations. Colorado will be less safe it it passes.
