Devlin Incident
Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:27 PM, CAL FIRE / Napa County Fire was dispatched by the Emergency Command Center (Dispatch) to reports of a commercial vehicle fire in the 200 block of Devlin Rd in Napa.
The first arriving unit (Engine 27) reported a fully involved vehicle fire containing multiple small propane tanks, with fire exposure to nearby vegetation and additional propane tanks.
Due to the complexity of the incident—including a nearby 30,000-gallon propane tank that was not involved—additional resources were requested. Highway 29 and Devlin Rd were temporarily shut down by law enforcement to ensure public and first responder safety.
Fire crews acted quickly to contain the fire. Crews remain on scene cooling the 30,000-gallon propane tank as a precaution.
The incident resulted in the loss of two pickup trucks, a forklift, and multiple small propane tanks. No injuries and no structural damage were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
All roads have reopened.
