It was a sad day when Ted Turner sold the Braves & Hawks. It was a sad day when he sold TBS & TNT because Southern Wrestling was gone too.
Whether it was wild ideas like CNN, The Goodwill Games, trying to win Americaâs Cup or any number of wacky promotions to get fans to gamesâŚTed was a risk taker, an innovator and a brilliant businessman.
Ted was one in a million. RIP to an Atlanta icon.
