My 13 year old Daughter died from #BrainCancer 4,679 days ago. 💔 I would LOVE to see my Ashley’s name 4,679 times in comments for all the days she’s been missing. When you lose a Child, the most beautiful word you can hear is their name. ❤️ A Repost & Follow would mean the world to us to keep our Ashley’s story alive. 💜 𝒜𝓈𝒽𝓁𝑒𝓎 💜

Ceci died unexpectedly on Dec 5, 2022 at 14 months old. She was our daughter & we are devastated. She was so smart, smiley, stubborn & squishy. She adored the rabbits in our yard & playing with her nanny “Shang NaiNai” & sisters. She is loved & missed beyond comprehension (1/5).

How can you go from sequence of a novel virus to 2 vaccines with 95% efficacy and safety (>75,000 participants in RCT trials) in 10 months and not, in 2.5 years, go after pan-β-coronavirus and nasal vaccines with the same aggressive (OWS) template?

If parents can opt-out of having their kids vaccinated against COVID, others should have the right to opt-in on a <5 vaccine we have every reason to believe will be safe and effective in reducing severe acute disease, late effects and death. Risks and benefits cut both ways.

The idea that COVID is harmless for otherwise healthy children is absurdly and demonstrably false. And the corollary argument that kids <5, therefore, don’t need vaccine is not only false, but immoral; 486 already have died. Parental choice cuts both ways. Authorize the vaccine!

Now that Moderna has submitted all pediatric data to @US_FDA, we urge an immediate, transparent and thorough review. Families of children under 5 have waited a long time for the reassurance of a safe and effective vaccine.

I saw children die of AIDS because medicines that saved their parents’ lives were not approved for them, so the seeming lack of urgency around COVID vaccines and therapeutics for young children is triggering. This wasn’t supposed to happen again almost 30 years later.

Parents of kids <5 feel abandoned. As adults clamor for boosters and cry for a “return to normalcy,” the FDA still hasn’t approved an <5 vaccine. We deserve clear and timely updates after many delays and poor communication. @DrCaliff_FDA @CDCDirector @ImmunizeUnder5s
