Just so you know who this man is, @ZackPolanski believes that someone smashing a sledgehammer into a police woman's back is legitimate and justifiable "direct action". When people tell you who they are, believe them.
Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

The IRA's political wing this week condemnied rioting, the destruction of property including homes and the fear it caused. Sinn Fein's Michelle O'Neill has previously said that the IRA had no alternative but to use violence. This is merely one example of that violence.
#OnThisDay in 1986 in the IRA planted a car bomb at Castle Park, Limavady, Northern Ireland. 4 policemen injured & 60 homes, including a 1982 Drop-in-well bomb victim`s, were damaged. It exploded as houses were being evacuated, at 12:20 am. Vehicle used hijacked in the town #OTD

These thugs fractured the spine of Sgt Kate Evans, who spoke in court of the medical and emotional trauma she still lives with. Prison is where they belong. Unlike Zack Polanski, I want serious consequences for anyone who attacks police officers risking their lives to protect us.

The idiots walking through Lenadoon two nights ago with black material over their faces to join riots were not Loyalists, nor those coming out of Ardoyne. Racism is not just the preserve of one community here - to pretend otherwise is dangerous.

Keir Starmer and his Attorney General are still trying to open up prosecutions against Northern Ireland veterans. Is it any surprise that they're not taking our country's security seriously, when this is how they treat people who've risked their lives to keep us safe?

This needs to be said loud and clear. Israel is not attacking Lebanon. They are targeting Hezbollah. An Iranian funded terror proxy that has struck Israel 2,000 times since the April ceasefire. Israel has every right to defend itself. Don’t fall for the Iranian regime’s distraction.

Sweet Jesus - “A U.S. federal investigation now suspects 1,500 UNRWA staff members of terror ties, including involvement with the Oct. 7 atrocities.” The Irish government should immediately halt funding UNRWA, but I doubt they will 🙄

Such a fantastic and truly illuminating lecture today at @britishmuseum ‘Ancient Israel and Judah in the British Museum’ And what an incredible speech by Director Dr Nicholas Cullinan; “Free speech and free expression are non-negotiable.” “We did not — and will not — surrender to the heckler’s veto, threats or intimidation.” “Protests are a healthy feature of democratic life when organised peacefully within the law. But disruption that prevents permitted conversations has no place in our civic spaces.” “This is a difficult moment for the Jewish community. Institutions face opposing pressures. Our test is to ensure ideas can be examined openly, without intimidation.”

Armed forces minister Al Carns quits over Troubles legacy law - saying government is creating a 'hierarchy of truth' in Northern Ireland Armed forces minister Al Carns quits over Troubles legacy law - saying government is creating a 'hierarchy of truth' in Northern Ireland By David Thompson 12th Jun 2026, News Letter The UK armed forces minister has resigned warning that the Labour’s Troubles Bill is unfit for purpose and is “creating a hierarchy of truth in Northern Ireland”. Al Carns cited the legacy plans alongside defence spending as his reason for quitting the Starmer government – just hours after the Defence Secretary John Healey tendered his resignation over defence funding. The government says while there are “already strong safeguards in the Bill”, it will “shortly bring forward a substantial package of amendments to further bolster these protections”. However, in his resignation letter, Mr Carns said the plan risks “failing the very veterans it claims to protect” and that he cannot ask veterans “to trust a process he no longer trusts” himself. The Troubles Bill is a replacement for the Tories’ Legacy Act – which granted conditional immunity for veterans and terrorists alike. It would have halted all prosecutions for Troubles-era crimes as well as an end to inquests. It was broadly backed by veterans, who are vehemently opposed to Sir Keir Starmer’s plans to re-open state probes. The framework for Labour’s plans was agreed with the Irish government before it was brought to parliament, with Dublin promising to act in “the fullest possible co-operation” with UK authorities, and bring in its own Troubles bill to ensure that happens. The Irish proposals have been criticised as lacking substance, however, and Dublin’s input into the process has been questioned. Speaking to GB News on Friday morning, Al Carns said: “We're creating a hierarchy of truth in Northern Ireland. One is around legacy inquests and inquiries, and the other one is around Independent Commission. “My view is the Independent Commission should be the only body to seek truth, reconciliation, and justice. “Some of those inquests need to continue, but I would like to see the majority of them, if not all of them, pushed into the independent inquiry, mirroring the same way that South Africa did its reconciliation – so we do not drag our veterans back to court, and importantly, so we don’t rewrite history. “90 percent of all the casualties in Northern Ireland were caused by who? By terrorists”, he said. Mr Carns said armed forces should be held to “the highest level of legal scrutiny” – but he was “not too keen” on 70 and 80 year old veterans “being dragged to court”. It has long been rumoured that the government’s failure to progress the bill was at least in part down to his opposition to it. Last July, he was reportedly on the cusp of resigning over his opposition, and now says that the government’s failure to include changes believed necessary is part of his reason for resigning. In his resignation letter he said: “Men and women I served with, those I buried friends alongside, people who did their duty under conditions most individuals in Westminster will never have to imagine. “I set out the changes I believed were necessary, and the lines which I could not in good conscience go beyond. Those lines have not been accepted. I have run out of room to argue this case honourably from inside government. “A serving minister cannot ask fellow veterans to trust a process he no longer trusts himself. These two failures are the same failure. We ask soldiers to fight for this country. “In return, we owe them the kit to do the job and the loyalty to stand by them when it's done. We are failing on both. “I set out the changes I believed were necessary, and the lines which I could not in good conscience go beyond. Those lines have not been accepted”, the Labour MP said. A Government spokesperson said: “We owe an immense debt to the veterans who served with distinction in Northern Ireland. The Troubles Bill is a vital step in righting the wrongs of the flawed Legacy Act, which was rejected by our own courts and left veterans exposed to a legal wild west. “Over the last few months, ministers have listened closely to the concerns of Armed Forces associations. While there are already strong safeguards in the Bill - including protection from repeated investigations - the government will shortly bring forward a substantial package of amendments to further bolster these protections. “Suggestions that veterans will be dragged through the courts are simply wrong. Our Armed Forces have always been bound by the rule of law, and those who served honourably and followed the rules have absolutely nothing to fear.”' newsletter.co.uk/news/politi

Disgusting.... These female MPs would rather kneel at the feet of men in fetish gear than protect little girls in toilets, changing rooms and sports. Biological sex is a fact. Women’s and girls’ safety isn’t “bigotry”. Prioritising adult male feelings over child safeguarding is unforgivable. #ProtectWomenAndGirls

The same "progressive" politicians who got it horribly wrong about puberty blockers for kids and called you "transphobic" for voicing concerns about the welfare of children, also claim to be experts on Gaza and state that genocide has occurred, even though there is no credible or verifiable evidence of genocide. If you disagree with them about Gaza, you will likely be labelled a "genocide denier" or something similar. The same "progressive" politicians who were wrong about puberty blockers and are wrong about Gaza, would also like you to believe your borders are well managed, that the system is working fine and "diversity is our strength". They will also label you "racist" and "far-right" if you happen to point at the elephant in the room or argue that social cohesion is actually our strength, whereas "diversity" of the woke identity politics variety, leads to social fragmentation and polarisation. I could go on. For instance, there's the rape gang scandal and people looking the other way because of systemic wokeness and the fear of being labelled "racist". Or there's the security guard in England who didn't stop a suspicious individual - who turned out to be suicide bomber - because the security guard was afraid of being labelled "racist". You may have detected a theme. All this and more has been brought to you by "progressive liberalism". That's who pushes woke identity politics at us and demonises anyone who dissents from their narrative. They lecture us about tolerance but yet they are intolerant of anyone who disagrees with them, or anyone who doesn't meekly fall into line. It's hard not to see the similarities between the authoritarian nature of supposed progressive liberalism (they are actually regressive and illiberal) and some of the classic political cults of the twentieth century. Once you see it, once you become aware of it, the authoritarianism is hard to ignore. The cultish absolute certainty they are right and that anyone outside the cult is an obstacle in their daily pursuit of a progressive utopia. At this point I am going to state what might already be obvious. There is not enough money in the world that could persuade me to vote for a politician who self-identifies as being a progressive liberal. Despite the similarity, progressive liberal is not the same thing as classical liberal. A classical liberal supports free speech, opposes intrusive 'big government' and has something of a live and let live approach regarding their fellow citizens, rather than trying to coerce people - such as not using legislation to coerce people to act in a manner that goes against their religious beliefs (for example a baker who doesn't want to put a particular message on a cake). Progressive liberalism is not progressive or liberal. It is authoritarian socialism that has co-opted liberalism. If you are an actual liberal, then voting for a progressive liberal is like a turkey voting for Christmas.
