Just an incredible start to summer! 🔥🌡️
Based on observed highs through June 11 and forecast values thereafter, the first half of June looks to come in several degrees above even the already-inflated 1991–2020 norms across the Northeast — as much as 9°F around Boston.
This has a real shot to go down as one of the hottest, if not the hottest, first halves of June on record for parts of the Northeast U.S. Summer lovers are on cloud nine. ☀️

Even though some areas have seen a bit of an uptick with the number of days with rain lately, it has really been a while for many areas since we last saw a month finish with above normal precipitation. At some locations you would have to go back to last May to achieve that.
