Since grade school (really!), I have followed treatment efforts against HIV-1. I love reading cautiously optimistic reports like this one, especially in children.
4 children have remained free of detectable #HIV for >1 year after their antiretroviral therapy (ART) was paused to see if they could achieve HIV remission. The children, who acquired HIV before birth, were enrolled in a clinical trial funded by @NIH. nih.gov/news-events/news-rel…
