Arson attack on Blackburn Mosque
On Saturday night, the Quwwatul Islam Mosque was targeted in what is believed to be a deliberate arson attack.
Flames engulfed the rear entrance and spread into part of the building. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The incident comes amid growing concern over a series of attacks targeting Muslims and mosques across the country in recent months.

It's pretty disgraceful that there has been absolutely no mention of this from the Prime Minister.
It's increasingly clear that some attacks, correctly, warrant disgust, emergency measures and days of media coverage.

Greater Manchester Police have issued an appeal for information after a suspected arson attack on the home of an Imam in Bolton last night.
Footage shows a masked man throwing a lit object through a front window.
The Patel family were safely evacuated by emergency services and no one was injured.
Police said they believe the incident was targeted and are investigating.
In a statement, Hassan Patel said the attack has caused "significant damage to our house and emotional distress to our family, including our children.โ

Imam's house in Bolton petrol bombed
Yesterday evening, the home of an imam in Bolton, identified as Moulana Hassan, was targeted in a petrol bomb attack.
No one was hurt in the attack but the Muslim community has been urged to remain vigilant.
The imam's brother wrote on social media: "We humbly request your duas for the safety, protection, and well-being of the family, as well as for the protection and safety of everyone in our communities.
"May Allah Ta'ala keep us all under His mercy and protection and safeguard us from all harm. Jazakumullahu Khayran. Aameen."

Brother, respectfully, changing the direction of your tweets isn't it. You're bringing unnecessary heat to yourself and Muslims. You want to learn about Sikhism, pick a time after this has blown over.
Jews and Sikhs have specific UK laws protecting their religion and ethnic status. Muslims have no such privileges in fact, Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 does the opposite. It disproportionately targets Muslims (88% according to Cambridge Universityโs Operation Insight study), allowing suspicionless stops, device seizures and detention without trial and also potentially months in remand, despite no crime committed giving them fewer rights than murder suspects. This is objectively the most discriminatory law in British statutes and a form of Jim Crow laws for Muslims. This is two-tier policing
