ALT How was this fundraiser organized? In July 2024, our lead organizer recruited ~100 of us to raise $106,000 for 21 Palestinian families. She has now recruited 200 of us to fundraise for 100 families and 2 mutual aid projects. How do you know the 100 families? They reached out to folks in our group for support. What will the funds be used for? The families urgently need money to pay for the exorbitant prices of basic necessities, including but not limited to food, water, winter-proof tents, winter clothing, medicine, surgery, diapers, infant formula, toiletries, rent, internet, cooking gas, transportation, etc. Why are you using Venmo to collect donations? Venmo does not charge us a fee to collect or withdraw funds. The families will already have to pay 2 fees: (i) when we distribute the funds to their GFMs and ii) when they withdraw the money in cash. Can we see where the money goes? Yes, we will post proof of payment to each family's GFM and the 2 mutual aid projects. 4/6

ALT The Mutual Aid Projects The Sanabel Team Founded in 2018, the Sanabel Team is a Palestinian-led mutual aid collective that provides hot meals, clean water, and other basic necessities to thousands of Palestinians every day in Rafah, Khan Younis, Deir Al-Balah, and Nuseirat. IG: @pal.gaza14 Twitter: @sanabelteam Dr. Abujarad's Project Dr. Hassan Abujarad, President of Gaza University, is working to purchase fresh chicken, clean water, and cleaning supplies for 300 families in his refugee camp in Deir al Balah.
