Today we will be joining library campaigners from around Scotland to meet with MSPs at Holyrood ahead of @markruskell debate on libraries.
Over past year several members of SAL have been helping other groups and have now joined forces to form Friends of Scotland’s Libraries.

We are angry to hear that 13 libraries in Aberdeenshire are announced to be closed by @LLAberdeenshire which will have a devastating impact on people of all ages.

We could not agree more, after losing six of our city’s libraries last year. Including two of the longest serving public libraries that have enabled safe places to learn & discover stories for generations.

This saves little money from council budgets, and will cost communities dearly for generations to come.
