Today, we did not just celebrate you, but we celebrate the people of Jigawa State. Having your leadership in these three critical years is one of the best things that has happened in Jigawa State’s history. Despite the nationwide economic challenges, especially the high cost of fuel and cost of materials, your administration introduced a new minimum wage that has kept many civil servants and business people in a very good shape. It has brought relief, stability, and renewed hope to many families across the state. Your good work in the education sector has transformed the system. From school infrastructure development, recruitment of qualified teachers, and provision of standard equipment for both students and teachers, your administration has brought significant positive change. Today, the education system is stronger and more effective. In the health sector, your leadership has proven what true service should look like. You renovated hospitals, you are building new ones, and you employed doctors, pharmacists, and nurses. You also ensured they are placed on a standard salary structure similar to that of the federal government, improving healthcare delivery across the state. In the agriculture sector, you traveled across the world with a clear mission to bring agricultural transformation to Jigawa State and you delivered. Today, farmers are happy, empowered, and going to their farms with confidence and peace of mind. You established a pioneering agency, the Jigawa Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA), the first of its kind in the state, and you also created a Ministry of Livestock Development to strengthen the sector further. You have empowered thousands of youths through economic empowerment initiatives. Today, many young people in Jigawa are self-reliant, productive, and even employing others. In housing, you have delivered more housing projects than many governors in the history of our state, all within just three years in office. Today in Jigawa State, there is no shaking, no doubt. Yesterday in my hometown, Babura LGA of Jigawa State, as a member of the APC Presidential Primary Committee, I fully participated in the primary election between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Dr. Stanley Osifo ahead of the 2027 general elections. The people came out in large numbers to show their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who defeated Dr. Stanley Osifo with over 8,415 votes in Babura and a total of 206,520 votes across all the 27 local governments of Jigawa State. This clearly shows that the people of Jigawa State are fully ready to deliver APC victory ahead of the 2027 general elections in all parts of the state. It also shows that the people of Jigawa State are happy with the good leadership of His Excellency, Mal. Governor Umar Namadi, in just three years of his first tenure, has built more houses than all previous governors who governed the state combined in the history of Jigawa State.

Today, I received members of Senior Course 48 from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (@AFCSC_1976), Jaji, who were led by the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Alfred Olugbenga Shogbanmu. It was an honour to host them during their nationwide study tour on the theme “Promoting Community Engagement for Enhanced National Security and Prosperity.” The Commandant and his team commended Jigawa for its peace, stability and hospitality. They mentioned that whenever Jigawa is discussed, people always describe the state as peaceful, stable and welcoming. This is something we thank Almighty Allah for. I assured them that our government will give them all the necessary support and cooperation during their stay. I have directed All our Ministries, Departments and Agencies to provide them with whatever information and assistance they may require for their research. We will continue to strengthen synergy among security agencies and work closely with our communities to sustain the peace and progress we are enjoying in Jigawa State. Jigawa State Governor Mal. @uanamadi Fca has been successfully screened to contest for the Jigawa State governor for a second term. His Excellency Umar Namadi’s first tenure has been a historical tenure in the history of the state; a tenure of progress for all the citizens, a tenure that has shaped the lives of thousands of youths in the state. Many youths have been empowered, with educational reforms, health system reforms, agricultural development, infrastructure development, accountability, and transparent governance.

Earlier today, I received a delegation from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (@ng_rmafc) led by Barrister Imo Effiong Akpan at Government House, Dutse. We had very productive discussions as they formally begin the Nationwide Data Verification Exercise for the review of the revenue allocation formula. I want to commend the current leadership of the Commission for this bold and important step. Previous attempts in the past didn’t succeed, but with the seriousness and determination they are showing now, Insha Allah, this one will succeed. The review is very necessary at this time because our country is changing and we must update the formula to reflect present realities. I have assured them that Jigawa State Government will give them full cooperation and all the support they need. Our doors are wide open, and we will provide every information required. Jigawa remains peaceful and secure. I thank them for the confidence they have in our state and for choosing to start this important national exercise with us. Earlier today, I had the opportunity to be in Kalgwai village in Auyo Local Government Area for the 2026 Kalgwai fishing festival. It turned out to be a meaningful outing. Seeing the fishermen, young people, and the entire community come out in such numbers brought back the reason we decided to revive this festival in the first place. It’s not only about preserving culture and tradition but, also speaks directly to how people live and earn their daily income. We have been putting more attention on the livestock and fisheries sector. That was the reason behind creating the Ministry of Livestock Development; to ensure this area is not overlooked. Already, we are restocking water bodies, producing fingerlings, and supporting fishermen with training and improved equipment. In the 2026 budget, we made deliberate provisions for the sector. The idea is to keep strengthening it gradually, improving infrastructure, supporting people, and partnering with relevant stakeholders. I congratulate the winners and sincerely appreciate the organisers, along with the traditional and community leaders, for their support in making the event a success. It’s something we need to keep nurturing as we move forward. May Allah continue to bless Jigawa State and our country.
