Here are three proposals from @DecrimSeattle:
Rather than spend another 3.5 million dollars into cages, here are three things the County could do now to reduce the jail population: The County could again put funds into a local bail fund to bail out individuals too poor to make bail. The County could implement the COVID-era booking restrictions The County could release those suffering mental health crises and use those millions to fund the appropriate services to meet their needs.
