What we call normal is really a psychopathology of the average, so undramatic and so widely spread that we don't even notice it ordinarily.

It’s not 1% a year for 5 years. It’s a one time 5% tax on all assets and it will kill entrepreneurship in California. Here is an example: John Doe starts a company. He takes a nominal salary - say $150k for this example - and the rest in equity in the company. Let’s say he owns 20%. He raises VC capital in 2026 from someone that invests $100M into the company and values the company at $6B. This means his 20% is “worth” $1.2B. I put it in quotes because he can’t actually sell. He has a paper value that putatively says he’s a billionaire. But he actually lives on $150k because that is what his income is. Just because someone decides to make a bet on the business does not mean some bank account in your name magically gets created with $1.2B in it. Under the proposed tax, however, John Doe would now owe $60M in cash to California in 2027. How will he pay it? Is there some buyer you know of, that the rest of the market doesn’t, that will do a deal at the max value when there is a distressed seller like John Doe who needs money he doesn’t have to pay taxes on value he also doesn’t have! Now imagine that after the tax is assessed, in early 2027, the company takes a write down to $200M. Now his share is $40M. But he still owes $60M. Again, there are no buyers for his shares per se. He still only makes $150k/yr. What is this person supposed to do? He now has a “worth” of $40M but owes California $60M. Should he declare bankruptcy now because he tried to start a business but was retarded enough to do it in California? So did you really get the billionaires?? No. Because the mega billionaires have already left or are tax structured to minimize the tax or will fight it. You will, however, drag a bunch of young, energetic folks who want to make things and hire people into bankruptcy court. Awesome work, Ro. You should be proud.

So putting aside the rhetorical flourish, you genuinely believe that a 1 percent tax on billionaires wealth for 5 years will kill the SV economy? Honest question. Or your concern is if that is expands to beyond that? Even @chamath has eloquently recognized that those with extreme wealth must do more for society given the backlash and angst people feel.

You are entering the final stages of undevelopment. The brain drain to dynamic economies will soon leave no technical workers on your shores. Tourism will soon be the largest contributor to your economic output. Your entire workforce will soon be educated in manufactured disciplines like social business studies—and their only skill will be regulatory lawfare. Your descendants will look back and wonder how you squandered the opportunity that Europe had.
We Europeans have our laws. You will have to learn to acccept them

EU is still fining Hungary €1 million a day because they don’t let in enough Muslim / African migrants. We should go back to just having a free trade zone in Europe, and not all this undemocratic bureaucracy.

At this point, the NYT playbook is old and tired. Its ideological agenda masquerading as “news” and “journalism” was found out long ago. Here is the TLDR on NYT world view: Innovation, achievement, and ensuing wealth creation are inherently bad, extractive, and oppressive. Whereas “taxing the rich” is the highest application of virtue because this fights economic oppression, as well as second/third generation forms of oppression (identity politics). One can assume the NYT did research for months and excavated every corner they could find for maximum dirt. And after all that, all they could frame a story around is “conflicts of interest” around AI when in fact AI has been the most important driver of all capital markets around the world. (Oh, and “winning” AI is of vital national strategic importance.) The front page of the NYT has become a leftist Page Six. Read for entertainment purposes only.

INSIDE NYT’S HOAX FACTORY Five months ago, five New York Times reporters were dispatched to create a story about my supposed conflicts of interest working as the White House AI & Crypto Czar. Through a series of “fact checks” they revealed their accusations, which we debunked in detail. (Not surprisingly the published article included only bits and pieces of our responses.) Their accusations ranged from a fabricated dinner with a leading tech CEO, to nonexistent promises of access to the President, to baseless claims of influencing defense contracts. Every time we would prove an accusation false, NYT pivoted to the next allegation. This is why the story has dragged on for five months. Today they evidently just threw up their hands and published this nothing burger. Anyone who reads the story carefully can see that they strung together a bunch of anecdotes that don’t support the headline. And of course, that was the whole point. At no point in their constant goalpost-shifting was NYT willing to update the premise of their story to accept that I have no conflicts of interest to uncover. As it became clear that NYT wasn’t interested in writing a fair story, I hired the law firm Clare Locke, which specializes in defamation law. I’m attaching Clare Locke’s letter to NYT so readers have full context on our interactions with NYT’s reporters over the past several months. Once you read the letter, it becomes very clear how NYT willfully mischaracterized or ignored the facts to support their bogus narrative.

Publicly championed it as a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to supercharge innovation, mobilizing over 40,000 AI specialists and fostering public-private partnerships And of course there's much more. It should be self-evident that David Sacks is an American secret weapon on AI and crypto dominance. The US’s economy is stronger, it is expanding job opportunities, and it is better positioned to compete on AI and crypto because of him. Additionally, it's important to point out that he hasn’t favored certain companies over others and certainly hasn’t played favorites with his friends. On the contrary, he’s broadly supported the entire AI and crypto industries in ways that unlock value for everyday Americans. Both AI and crypto are important frontiers of American technology that we as a nation depend on to move our society forward and enable massive leaps in our quality of life. Thank you @davidsacks for your service 🙏. You are exactly what this country needs.

Great news: It seems that the shadow ban has been lifted. I’m almost glad this happened though, because at least now everyone got to see the EU and their lust for censorship in action. Thank you @elonmusk for your unwavering commitment to free speech.
My content is being restricted in the EU under the Digital Services Act - the very censorship act I’ve been warning about for years. Under the guise of "online safety" they put a search ban on my account and flagged my posts as sensitive/age restricted content. The EU hates free speech because it threatens their power.

Mold toxicity is one of the most under-diagnosed root causes of fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, and unexplained illness. Removing exposure isn’t enough. You need a full cellular detox protocol to recover. In this post, I'll cover everything you need to know about mold detox: 1) Where mold hides in your home 2) Common symptoms 3) Why bloodwork won't catch it 4) My client's mycotoxin results 5) Complete cellular detox protocol BONUS: If you RT this post and comment "MOLD," I'll send you the full protocol. Let's dive in. 1) Where mold hides in your home: - Poorly maintained HVAC systems (recirculating spores) - Water damage or leaks (behind walls, under flooring) - High-humidity environments (basements, humid climates) - Poor ventilation in bathrooms and kitchens Up to 50% of homes in humid regions harbor toxic mold. The worst offenders are Stachybotrys (black mold) and Aspergillus. They thrive behind drywall, carpets, and HVAC units. You might not see it, but you’re breathing in spores laced with poisonous mycotoxins every day. These mycotoxins are lipophilic, meaning fat-loving. They lodge in your brain (60% fat) and tissues, where doctors don't look. They attack mitochondria, drain energy, suppress thyroid function, and overload detox pathways. Bloodwork looks "fine" but you feel like sh*t. 2) Common symptoms include: - Chronic fatigue - Brain fog and poor memory - Anxiety or panic attacks - Insomnia - Bloating and food sensitivities - Sinus congestion or chronic cough If you’ve “tried everything” and nothing works, suspect mold. 3) Why won't bloodwork catch it? Mycotoxins don't show up on standard bloodwork. Symptoms can mimic anxiety, burnout, or hypothyroidism. Only a few labs order mycotoxin panel or ERMI dust tests. Mold illness is called "the great imitator" for a reason. 4) I had a client with crippling insomnia, low recovery capacity, and a suppressed immune system. We transformed his lifestyle and got him on a well developed protocol. His markers improved, but the results just didn't add up. Until we tested him for mold. We performed a comprehensive mycotoxin panel on him. The results revealed multiple mycotoxin exposures: ochratoxin, trichothecenes, and gliotoxin. All of a sudden, his health puzzle made sense. 5) Complete cellular detox protocol Fix your exposure FIRST, or nothing else will stick. Step one: Clear the mold from your environment. This means professional remediation, replacing contaminated items, and upgrading your HVAC filtration. (I'm giving away a complete mold remediation guide at the end of this post) But removing exposure alone isn't enough. The mycotoxins are already IN your tissues, lodged in fat cells, organs, and brain tissue. You need a strategic detox protocol to mobilize and eliminate them. The approach you take is determined by which mycotoxins you're exposed to. This is a foundational protocol that addresses the core pathways: 1. Mitochondrial Support - CoQ10 100-200 mg/day, PQQ 20 mg/day - Liposomal Glutathione, NAC, Shilajit, Lion's Mane - Prioritise Zone 2 cardio (45-60 mins, nasal breathing) 2. Detox & Binder Stack (Essential) - Add daily binders & mycotoxin binding smoothies (my go-to's are in the last post) - Support bile & liver with calcium-D-glucarate, milk thistle, phosphatidylcholine, TUDCA - Sauna 3-4x/week 3. Hormonal Recovery Focus - Strength training for hormone signalling - Ensure adequate copper/zinc, retinol, and vitamin D/K2 - Lots of micronutrients movement 4. Sleep Restoration - Magnesium glycinate phosphatidylserine or reishi for evening cortisol smoothing - Deep-clean environment: Without remediation, symptoms will recur despite intervention TLDR: If you suspect mold exposure: - Get tested (urine mycotoxin panel ERMI dust test) - Remediate your environment - Implement a targeted detox protocol P.S. Don't forget to RT and comment "MOLD" for a free guide covering all of this: - Clearing your environment - Binding ingredients - What not to consume. And thanks for reading! Make sure you follow me @bensmithlive for more health protocols in the future.

For years, I've been adding to my Not-To-Do list, where I track my most painful lessons learned. Here are a few: "Don't have upstairs neighbors." Or, positively: "Always buy the penthouse." "Don't listen to your doctor. They know fuck all." "Don't loan money." A friend who asks for a loan ≠ friend. "Trust a realtor to be honest like you'd trust a whore not to have an STD." "Always show up to funerals you're invited to." "Never use a middleman if you can go directly to the supplier."

If you're struggling with a dysregulated nervous system (anxiety, panic attacks from very small triggers), there's an insanely effective treatment I've tried (tried many). It's called the Stellate Ganglion Block, or Dual Sympathetic Reset. It's a local injection of anesthetics into a nerve bundle on the side of your neck called the stellate ganglion. The DSR is simply the SGB x2 (one side day 1, other side day 2). Takes about 15 mins per treatment. Costs about $1.5k. After heavy mold exposure and some traumatic shit, my body was stuck in perpetual fight-or-flight mode. It cost me years of my life. After DSR treatment (Stella clinics in the US are good), my default mode completely reset. It's like the difference between over-drinking coffee and zero caffeine, but perpetually. According to the book "The Invisible Machine" by Eugene Lipov (title refers to the nervous system), war veterans suffering from severe PTSD saw an 80 % recovery rate upon doing the SGB/DSR treatments. Insane. Unheard of. Research is actively suppressed because pharma can't shill their SSRIs if $4 worth of anesthetics and 15 mins of a doc's time can do the trick. Inform yourself.

The success I've had is pretty stupid. It just came from stupidly executing and doubling down on what works. Found a proven SEO formula? Okay, let's do more of the same. Let's see if we can do exactly the same but 10x more. Stupid. Effective. The fundamental algorithm of life: repeat what works.

One of the most important lessons I've implemented this year is "bet sizing": If you're going to place a bet, make sure it's for the right amount relative to your net worth. The mistake I made as my NW increased is that I would still place similar bets as before. Super painful to 10x a trade that was too small to begin with. Betting too small is a major indicator of lack of proper research and conviction in the bet itself. Better just leave it and wait for proper alignment/conviction. (The book "Thinking in Bets" by female poker player Annie Duke helped a lot.) Don't bet too small.
