Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: nasa.gov/artemis-ii-multimed…

September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month meaning uterine, ovarian, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancer! There is no cancer more important than the next! U.C.A.N raises awareness for uterine/endometrial cancer!
#DearEarlyScientists, I worry about your finances. Carrying student loans into 5 year PhDs and postdocs only works if there is a big financial payoff at the end...and there isn't. NIH can't fix it. I favor removing barriers to help industry work with and boost pay in academia.
This week is National #PostdocAppreciationWeek. Zannel Blanchard, PhD (@xedbee) is a postdoctoral fellow in the Welm lab. She explains the role of a postdoc, what inspired her to become a cancer researcher, and why she loves working here. #HCIproud
#DearEarlyScientists, take, value, and defend time each day for deep focused work. I protect my mornings. No meetings before 12PM. Email can be done late in the day when your brain is cooked. You need to write, think, analyze, and get shit done. It is critical. No guilt.
Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological cancer and high levels of estrogen promote its development. Researchers at HCI, led by @xedbee and @GertzLab, have identified potential new treatment options for people with endometrial cancer. bit.ly/47GqKwn
I’ve been a hospital chaplain now for eight years at hundreds of deathbeds. I want to tell you something I’ve witnessed.
Most people, at the end, realize they’ve spent a lot of their life hiding. Sometimes by choice, or because they could not safely choose to be themselves. ➡️
I am happy to communicate that SCENIC was published in @naturemethods. SCENIC is a workflow to infer enhancer-driven gene regulatory networks from scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq data. This work was done together with @Bravo_Potato at @steinaerts lab! 🧵1/9🧵

#DearEarlyScientists, science is a rollercoaster with many lows. You need to work on problems that are big enough to sustain your interest during the lows. Constantly think about how big the impact of your work could be...and patiently search until you find the right project.
Patients help other patients!! A cancer patient and scientist is creating a tool to build info and help other #stage4#cancer patients! Spread this so patients can help in becoming #survivors !
Survival and quality of life in cancer patients is so incredibly variable. I want to know why - quickly - so I can figure out how to help patients promote resilience. Please help me get the word out about the #cancerresilienceprojectunchartedhealth.org/cancer-p…
