In Greek mythology Aion is the god of unbounded time, contrasting Chronos, the god that represents progressive time. Chronos also has been around in the world of optogenetics since a while. So, it was time for Aion to enter the stage. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

This was a great meeting in the impressive environment of the UNESCO world heritage city of Beaza. I learned a lot about cellular sensors and hope to have contributed some insights about using light sensors for optogenetics. Thanks so much for the invitation @neuroviana

In this small study we show that engrafted iPSC cardiomyocytes can initiate an impulse that leads to whole ventricular contraction. These results highlight to watch out for graft-induced arrhythmia!
