Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all. signal.org/blog/pdfs/2026-06…

If there was anything to sum up the failure of the uniparty over the past ~20 years it is this. Rationing water on an Island where it rains 60% of the year.

"ok Keir, right wingers think you're a New World Order elite plant who wants to bring in global 5G brain hacking, and left wingers think you're an authoritarian stooge with nothing to offer but a tired Blairite tribute act. What's the plan?" 'Hear me out... ID Cards!'

Not one political party had compulsory digital ID in its manifesto at last year's general election. Not one person voted for it.

The digital ID cards contract will go to Palantir, won’t it? An authoritarian policy dressed up in anti-migrant rhetoric, funnelling public money to a shady American tech firm. You couldn’t invent a more Starmerite scheme.
BREAKING: I have just submitted an FOI to the Home Office demanding FULL TRANSPARENCY on Palantir’s role in tomorrow’s “Brit Card” mandatory digital ID scheme 🚨 WHY THIS MATTERS: Palantir already has its surveillance tentacles deep in UK infrastructure with 24 government contracts including: 🏥 NHS - patient data analytics 🛡️ Ministry of Defence - military intelligence 👮 Police Forces - “predictive policing” systems 🏛️ Cabinet Office - cross-govt data platform 🏘️ DLUHC - local authority surveillance 🏛️ Coventry City Council - citizen monitoring PALANTIR’S TRACK RECORD: •Built CIA’s tracking systems •Created NSA mass surveillance tools •“Predictive policing” = racial profiling algorithms •Founded by Peter Thiel (Trump mega-donor) •Profits from border surveillance & deportations •Turns citizen data into surveillance gold Given this EXTENSIVE presence across UK institutions, Palantir involvement in Brit Card is not just possible - it’s PROBABLE. MY FOI DEMANDS ANSWERS ON: ✅ Is Palantir contracted for Brit Card technology? ✅ What’s the contract value & scope? ✅ How will our biometric/personal data be used? ✅ What surveillance capabilities are being built? ✅ Where are the privacy safeguards? ✅ Who else is profiting from this scheme? ⏰ URGENT: Starmer announces this TOMORROW ⏰ Government has 20 days to respond under FOI law ⏰ Every UK adult will be forced onto this database This isn’t immigration control - it’s INFRASTRUCTURE for a surveillance state. When the same company tracking CIA targets builds your “ID card” system, you’re not getting documentation - you’re getting MONITORED. #BritCard #Palantir #DigitalSurveillance #FOI #Privacy #MassSurveillance #DigitalRights RETWEET TO SOUND THE ALARM

Britain is the first Deëmerging Economy in the world. A clever investment bank macro analyst like Jim O'Neill should lean into this. Counties like India and Vietnam and China are rapidly emerging, Britain is demerging: becoming a low trust, low wage, low productivity, low tech economy, with middling living standards, higher levels of political instability and social unrest, poor and patchy public services and infrastructure, regular fiscal crises, and institutions that increasingly look unfit for 21st Century governance. There's bound to be loads of data on this. Investors would no doubt lap up a research note that looked at the investment connotations of this switch. Where can money be made in a Deëmerging Economy? Low value-add manufacturing? Resource extraction? Foreign companies willing to offer technology transfer? Startups that might be bought by foreign companies that can provide them with capital? The one or two world class industries left, they will undoubtedly gain outsized prestige and influence? Private services that allow the dwindling numbers of middle class to escape the horrors of public healthcare and education? @philippilk @John_Mills_JML

48. WD40 (Mark Thomas). Tickets to see his shows are like gold dust & it's not hard to see why. He's inimitable (as more energy in his little finger than most do in their whole bodies)& delightfully savage about a whole range of topics. Would pay through the nose for more of this
