Forza Horizon 2 Xbox One (played via Series X BC) Does it play offline? Yes Does it require a download? No The game still advertises DLC that is no longer available, but you can just skip these nagging messages. Plays fine otherwise. Only had a single crash in over 50 hours.

This is one big downside to digital “ownership” where you own a license to access some sort of app only for it to be revoked for any reason from the publisher. If you love a game so much, I always recommend getting it physically to at least have some sort of access to the game.
