The new Deproject/Project functions are AMAZING!
(Intended for usage with the Virtual Pointer, but useful without it too).
For example, now you can get the player screen sizes, both in centimeters (directly returned by the API), or in Pixels (with some additional math)!

Today's Tyger Byte is a demo of a basic implementation of the new virtual pointer.
There are a lot of cool possibilities with this and the great part about it is it works on mouse/controller and touch screens!

Also me and my friends was correct about visitor being a impostor (My friend said he could be geno but we were unsure... But we always knew about he being fake due to suspicious history dialogues with incorrect moral comments and decisions from him that he would never do.)

The FIRST Vault Key has activated in Fortnite OG! 🔑
We should anticipate the first Vault Key to teleport to Lucky Landing fairly soon and the hologram color of the rune will change from Orange to Blue!

Create cuz you love it. Create cuz you want a game that you would play. Create for your friends and make it fun. Find new friends with what you create.

What is going on with Unity x Fortnite!?!
It's been 7 MONTHS @TimSweeneyEpic announced this bombshell and Epic Games has refused to elaborate further.
Does this mean Steal the Brainrot will be competing with Cuphead in the same engagement payout pool? Will we see people deciding whether to play Peak with their friends or a Red vs Blue map? Fortknight and Valheim on the same discovery row?
As a creator in UEFN, I am not against having unity games in discovery but I would love to have literally any context so I can attempt to make plans this year. I do this as a living and I want to know if I will be competing (or learning) against a full engine with tons of past support versus #UEFN where I can't even put text in-world without creating an insane non-localizable material or using a heavy device because we are waiting on metaversal approval on the API?
Will it be a cloud streaming wrapper? Will it be a button press? Will it be a unique version of Unity that has similar limitations as UEFN? Will it be an unity_device that can be dropped into an island in FNC???
Please @TimSweeneyEpic give us even a crumb of context. We are working hard on your platform to make innovative games (and a living wage) but we need to know if Scene Graph is going to have a huge competitor.

I was just explaining the dot product to my son today! It's used everywhere in games, often with unit vectors to determine how aligned they are.

I revisited my #UE5 blackhole project recently. Updated the lighting. Before the light was only coming from the photon sphere around the event horizon. Now, in addition to that, I've added light coming from the gas itself, which gives it a much more realistic appearance.
