Fewer than 30 have NLP benchmarks. Tokenizers break our words. We lose meaning. 🔹 Bitcoin solutions for Africa (remittances, self-custody) need AI trained on African data – not Western models. Key takeaways: 🔹 Activists face frozen accounts, government surveillance, and banking exclusion. Bitcoin is a secure, censorship-resistant alternative. 🔹 FEDI = super app for activists – federated wallets, encrypted group chats, user-friendly recovery. No censorship. No blocking. 🔹 ABI (Africa Bitcoin Institute) fights for favorable Bitcoin legislation across Africa – lower remittance costs, economic development. Freedom technology isn't a luxury. The closing panel of the Freedom Tech Track at the 2026 @OsloFF brought together @ihate1999, @AnaiseKanimba, @obi, and @waithiraah to discuss one of the most important questions in the bitcoin ecosystem: how do we make bitcoin practical for everyday people? A key theme throughout the discussion was that Africa represents one of the largest opportunities for bitcoin adoption globally. From payments and savings to financial inclusion and economic freedom, the continent is already demonstrating real-world bitcoin use cases at scale. The conversation explored how builders, entrepreneurs, and advocates are creating tools that expand freedom, reduce barriers to access, and make bitcoin more useful in people's daily lives. Day 9 of #Hack4Freedom Lagos with @waithiraah – co-founder of @tando_me A masterclass in building real Bitcoin products for real African users. Key takeaways: 🔹 Solve real problems first – Bitcoin was interesting but not spendable in Kenya. Tando fixed that. 🔹 Plug into existing rails – MPESA has 40M users. Tando integrated Lightning with what Kenyans already trust. 🔹 Hide complexity – Merchants receive Kenyan shillings, not Bitcoin. Users don't need to understand the tech. Build for your neighbor, not for Silicon Valley. ⚡🧡

Next step is gameplay refinement and onboarding flow. I am building this in public over the next 2 weeks.

It is starting to feel less like a learning tool and more like a real game. And I think that matters more than people think.

I also integrated avatars into the game today. Players now start by choosing a character before playing. Small detail, but it completely changes how the product feels.

The idea is evolving. It’s no longer just about earning sats. It’s becoming a journey to help people actually understand Bitcoin step by step.
