Participant #1 right here. We’re going to figure out why athletes, veterans, and first responders get ALS at much higher rates, because we believe the answers could be in our own biology. Remote participation also removes barriers so we can move faster toward answers for all. #AwesomeAintEasy

Growing up in Spokane Washington, I always get asked why I am a Cubs fan. Two reasons. WGN and Ryne Sandberg. As a kid, the Cubs were always on WGN. When I was maybe ten years old, I found out Sandberg, their superstar, was from Spokane. My homeboy! Locked. So, the Mariners and the Cubs were, and still are my teams. Both organizations have been amazing with our family and Team Gleason. We’ve thrown the first pitch in both stadiums. Enormously grateful. They’re both down a game, but through adversity, we find our heroes. Go Mariners. Go Cubs.

Greatness isn’t just measured in stats. @drewbrees, you're the greatest leader I've been around. Uniting teammates to be resilient when no one else believed, inspiring us to smile under pressure while doing extraordinary shit, and resurrecting a community. More than all of that, a dear friend. HOF? Duh... I love you brother.

Pretty monumental day, yesterday! Two doods who should be dead, went to the @Saints game. Together! Not dead, yet. Celebrating, and practicing to love the life we have. LOVE.

Every 90 minutes, someone in this country takes their last breath because of ALS. A few days ago, one of those was my friend and brother, Phil Green. Phil was voratious about life. He lived fully, loved deeply, and thought carefully about how he showed up for others. And show up, he did. His presence remains, and is within me. Love you, brother.

Every 90 minutes, someone in this country dies because of ALS. Recently, one of those was my friend Peter. His death is a poignant reminder to keep living with love. Peter’s work continues to fuel our efforts to end ALS. No white flags, brother. We'll keep working. I love you. You are love. SG legacy.com/us/obituaries/nam…

It was glorious to be back in my home state of Washington this week. Rivers threw the first pitch on MLB Lou Gehrig day. It felt so good to be with family and friends, and the Seattle weather was perfection. Thank you to the Mariners staff for your generosity and kindness! Great to meet you Brian Woo. And thanks to the team at Gates Ventures for your time and friendship. New Orleans is my home now, but my blood flows with the cool, clear Rivers, and majestic mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Love.

Yesterday at the Louisiana State Capitol was a special day. Representatives John Illg and Paula Davis presented House Resolution 160, declaring May as ALS Awareness Month. We met many with friends and family members who have experienced ALS, each sharing stories of resilience and joy carved from pain. Every story echoed how Team Gleason has helped and inspired them. I’m grateful for their words and for the state’s support for the ALS community and in efforts to end the disease through Answer ALS. No White Flags.

Rivers, today is the day. Our beautiful boy, is graduating Stuart Hall. This school has poured the foundation for you to become a great young man. You know, many years ago,  when we went to our first father son mass, I thought about this day. Wondering if I’d be alive, to witness. No one is promised tomorrow, I’m grateful to be with you and Gray and momma today.  I am proud to be yo daddy Dude. Keep Exploring. Keep showing up, mate. I love you. Fo to fo, Mo Fo.
