Just tried @nhighstein's Desmos activities on Voronoi Diagrams! Wow. teacher.desmos.com/activityb… I've been having fun writing fairly compact code for VDs. desmos.com/calculator/coarip…

I've been having fun proving and creating trig identities like this one: tan x sec x = tan(x/2 pi/4) #MTBoS #iteachmath

Replying to @MathigonOrg
@MathigonOrg This utility (very important) page is in a bad state, so I can't interact with it; I can't see it all to recreate it easily (actually a lot of work), and I can't copy the contents. mathigon.org/polypad/rsYchIc…

I started to recreate the page, and it got wedged similarly. Perhaps something I'm doing is tickling a rare code path???mathigon.org/polypad/46orRNA…

While enjoying @davidporas present a @MathigonOrg video (mathigon.org/task/tutorial-g…), I thought I'd build some folding couches: polypad.org/6Y3nbCwZ0KsgQw. I got surprising behaviors (bugs or features?).

Thank you! Both nested folders (very easy to convert!) and search will make Polypad much easier to use!! #iteachmath

It's now easier than ever to find and organise your Polypads – with nested folders and search!
This is some sort of magic!
It is possible to tile a 2x5 board with dominos with an odd number of them laid vertically. Is it possible to do the same for a 4x5 board: tile with dominos with an odd number of them vertical?
I have enough PolyPads (in folders) that I can't always find them easily. Is there any way to search all the canvas titles? @MathigonOrg

Graceful!

noticed my first monkey puzzle tree today while on a walk and it was VERY COOL (definitely don't have these on the east coast)
The Hemachandras stopped by. They were dressed as Fibonaccis. #iteachmath @jamestanton @abeliangrape_
💜this even before JT posted (taught to it today). Now I 💜💜it. Patterns usually check a constraint to rule out a case, not usually rule in.
In this colored grid of pink, green, blue, yellow cells in diagonal rows, any 4-by-4 square outlined will contain equal numbers of cells of each color. Not true for a 5x5 squares. For which N will an N-by-N square drawn on this grid be sure to contain equal counts of each color?
Hey, @MathigonOrg community. Can anyone tell me how to unlock tiles? It's no longer in the tools menu that now controls the UI.

What they said!
Hi, #MathTwitter! I help organize the @theJRMF Community-Run Math Circle, which involves a fun math exploration (like the one below) on Zoom once a month, and we are looking for new facilitators! 🧵 (1/9) #ITeachMath #MTBoS
Drawing a circle of n colored dots, mapping the color wheel evenly colors adjacent dots similarly. Inspired by @vihartvihart, I used phi spacing, but the last dot sometimes was close in color to the first dot, but a stretch does the trick! @Desmos #MTBoS desmos.com/calculator/dn2gn1…

Check out this @Desmos activity: Animated Star Party! teacher.desmos.com/activityb… One of my first activities, the most complete, including teacher notes. It introduces concepts in modular arithmetic to primary students. Feedback Please. NB: I'm not a trained teacher, but learning.

This @Desmos circular string art activity is based on Mathologer videos on the rules to make a cardioid. I'm new at this: suggestions welcome. #mtbos #iteachmath teacher.desmos.com/activityb…

amazing!
Why do the angles in a triangle add up to a “straight” angle (that is, 180 degrees)?

Some of you must have kids that played with "loom bands". If you can easily find one/some, or if you can estimate from your experience, how far can one band easily stretch? #mathcrafts #MTBoS
