Ontario hospitals ran up 6 million agency nursing hours, paying premiums of 2x & more the regular hourly rate in 2020-21– the equivalent cost of 7,000 full-time nursing positions. Decades of hospital management exploiting nurses & treating them as disposable brought us to this.

In education, you get what you pay for.
If you want a world class education system (Canada is typically around 8th btw) then you need to fund it. See Finland. Education workers are provided resources, funding, and most importantly respect. The results tell all.

A good public education is a competitive advantage Ontario enjoys against nearby US jurisdictions that have fallen for the voucher system scam, gutting their public schools. To lose ours would be disastrous for Ontario, but Conservatives *hate* public schools more than anything.
