With street lamps in many towns in #France being turned off at 10/11pm & the last few nights being clear, I took the opportunity to watch the stars & had some of the best views of the #MilkyWay of my life. The lack of light pollution is amazing & the #bats & #moths benefit too 💚

Artificial light can have negative impact on many bat species, other wildlife and people too. We have lots of information about the impact on bats here: bats.org.uk/about-bats/threa… along with guidance on how to mitigate the impact. Thanks @SwitchOffTheLi3 for flagging this.
